MS? Well... actually they put out two, at the same time...
Mechassault and Whacked.

But...
other publishers had put out some XBL games at the same, as well... namely...
Unreal Championship (Atari) and Ghost Recon (UbiSoft).

Also... there was the mother of all surprises...
the Moto GP demo that came with the XBL starter kit that worked worked with, and kind of "unlocked" XBL for, the full version!

But now, honestly, looking back on most of those early titles... XBL was really not all that. Yeah MotoGP and Ghost Recon were the bomb (and GR still is), but XBL is now XBL because of (more) recent titles... like Wolfenstein, MotoGP2, and Midtown Madness 3.

From what I heard of the guys who Beta tested, MotoGP and Whacked were available for Beta Tests. There was also one other game, perhaps Sega's NFL 2K3.
