"Then there is the lingering question of the rumored PS3 version of BioShock found in the PC code. Levine responds quite clearly, "I promise you, there is no secret plan about the PS3 that we're keeping from people. There's no PS3 development going on that we're hiding. There's lots of stuff that gets into game code, plans change over time and we got an exclusive deal with Microsoft ... that's not a Rosetta Stone discovery."
So to all those who flamed me and said Bioshock was PS3-bound because of a stupid "Only on Xbox 360" label that a crap title like Enchanted Arms had slapped on it's cover, this one's for you! Oh, btw...enjoy the shot of the Big Daddy below!

See the other Bioshock thread,
And I flamed you because of your assinine logic, not because you said the game would never come to the PS3 -- and you *seriously* expect with a contract w/ MS that Ken Levine would actually officially say anything *other* than it won't be coming to the PS3? DUH that's what companies say so that you get hyped and buy it for the 360 now rather than wait for it on the PS3 later -- that's the point.
Take a look at Gears of War. This game was a true 360 exclusive last year. Some images surfaced last year about a PC version of the game. And what happened? MS *quickly* stamped out these rumors and said Gears was NOT coming to the PC, and that it was just some draft mistake or some such crap.

Yet the hard facts are Gears of War is coming out for the PC before the year is up, with additional conent to boot.

Funny how the "This is never going to another platform!" line should never be taken at face value, huh? Yet that is exactly what you are doing... simply because it suits your agenda. And that is why I bring logic to the fore to show just how irrational, illogical, short-sighted, and obviously-biased you are.

I never said that because it had an "Only on Xbox 360" label that it would come to the PS3. That would be retarded. I said that just because it had that label, doesn't mean it WON'T come to PS3. See Enchanted Arms.
If you can't understand that, then I'm afraid there's no helping you.

Once again, Enchanted Arms sucks and MS still benefits from Games for Windows.

What does Enchanted Arms sucking or not have to do with anything? And where did I mention anything about Games for Windows?

BioShock is exclusive for Xbox 360 for now. A PS3 version is possible, only and only if Sony gets to sell more consoles on a worldwide scale. The way the PS3 is going, it's selling pace is very sluggish compared to Xbox 360 and even more so to PS2.

Ain't gonna happen, no way, no how. Ps3'ers with crap PCs are missing out on the game of the decade.

Oblivion comes to the PS3....months later. R6 comes to PS3 months later. FN3 ditto. GRAW 2(not even GRAW 1) is just releasing. Who cares is Bioshock comes to PS3 sometime late next year? I mean it probably won't but if it did I could care less. Each time a game goes to PS3, 360 owners have moved on. Its like the PS3 is a half a generation behind. If PS3 owners look forward to paying $600 to play inferior 360 ports let them sit around and wait and look forward to sloppy seconds.
I doubt the game will come to PS3 though, we aren't talking about a huge studio. I'm sure it would take all of their resources to port it, they'd probably rather be busy working on their next game or the sequel. Plus there is the matter of the MICROSOFT publishing deal lol.

At the rate the games on the PS3 is selling you cant blame Sony for trying to once again grab a game from another console, put a fresh coat of paint on it,and slap on an extra level or two in order to try to make a buck. But considering that Bioshock runs at a smooth 60 fps on the 360 it may not be a good idea to even consider putting it on the PS3 since we all know that most games on the PS3 only run at 30 fps.(EA sports titles for example) Thank goodness Bioshock is only going to be enjoyed by PC gamers and 360 owners. No cigar for you Ritchie!

Not entirely true, I have noticed stuttering here and there in game. Sometimes textures pop in and out in game. And, sometimes just going to a menu and take a good 10 or 15 seconds to make happen. Fortunately the game has never frozen up completely, although I thought it might from time to time. It seems like Bioshock is really pushing the 360 for all its worth, but damn is it a beautiful game. It is also one of those few games that while playing I catch myself thinking about how I am going to do it all different the next time through, that's a sign of a game of pure greatness. Hell, just last night I nearly killed a tough Splicer but just before she died she ran off like crazy to a healing station, I pursued her but she made there in time and completely turned the tables on me and had me running for a healing station in the opposite direction while she chased me back down the same hallway, and I didn't make it. This will be game of the year I think.

Its clearly fun for you to finally get to call games "sloppy seconds" after an entire generation of getting sloppy seconds on Xbox. I'm sure you recognize the hypocrisy of it, but all's fair in love and systems war. You guys never minded playing Grand Theft Auto months after the Ps2 release, and currently I don't mind playing Oblivion and Dirt later. If a game is worth playing, it's worth playing.
You do realize that 360 released a year early with buggy-assed hardware, right? And that this is just the reality, that first year games come later to a system that is released later? It's not a big deal. And going forward, just like last gen, you can see that the development cycles are synching up and that most multiplats will release at the same time.
"Paying $600. . . " I paid $500 btw, and --I don't see how someone can get excited about dropping $500 on a console (the price of the 360 that has HDMI) with a 30% failure rate, no wi-fi, a non-standard hard-drive, a tiny last-gen storage medium (dvd), no Hi-def movie capabilities, half-assed b/c, and a fee to get online.
The Ps3 is the better hardware, period, even though the 360 has more software right now because its been out twice as long. The Ps3 will someday be two years old, just like the 360 is now, and it will have killer apps. And its price will fall. So gloat while you still can; the Ps3 will catch up, period. Look at the global sales numbers, the Ps3 with its high price and limited library is at exactly 1/2 as many units as 360, which has been out 2x as long and has had two xmas holidays to the Ps3's one. That's not a lead, that's mathematically a dead even sales trajectory. What do you think is going to happen when system sellers arrive and the price drops?

You are all mixed up lil' papi....every system gets ports, the difference between PS3 and other systems is that ports is ALL there is to play on PS3. XBOX had its own games and the ports rounded out the system. I never played GTA on XBOX, didn't have to since I was so busy with other games like BIA, KOTOR, J.E., SC, Forza, etc etc, with PS3 if u don't play the ports u really got nothing good to play, so u are left with average filler like Motorstorm.
As far as needing two full years, that is BS. Close to a full year is long enough. Especially when your system's launch was delayed twice! Especially when u bragged the nextgen starts when u launch, especially when u cost much more than your competitors.
Sony has had enough time to demonstrate what the PS3 is capable of, there have been plenty of exclusive games to evaluate the system. Games which were all delayed, games which u guys claimed would smoke the competition when they arrived. Well, we waited and for what, middle of the road games. Of course PS3 will have more hits and of course developers will learn to better utilize the system, but do u think this is all going to happen in a vacuum? While PS3 games get better, so will 360 games, this is a reality u refuse to acknowledge. Plus we have already seen what the PS3 has in store, KZ2 and MGS4, but we haven't seen what MS has in store for '08. What did u think we'd be playing Halo3 Bioshock and ME until 2009. So yeah, we will all keep waiting on PS3 because we got no other choice, meanwhile some will be playing great games while we wait. And hopefully the PS3 will drop its price to something more reflective of its true value while the quality of its games will rise. No way around it 2007 has been one of the worst launch years EVAR in regards to PS3. Wii btw isn't far behind it. Hooray, they just now got another good game with Metroid 3, so what now, wait another 6 months.
