Just wondering, because If so, then it's on like, something.
How would I go about setting this up? Renz? Ocelot? Hook a brotha up.

Well you'd have to find an emulator written for the PS3. I haven't seen any but I honestly haven't looked. PS3 emulation will probably take longer to kick off than DC emulation did because of its more complex architecture and how few people have PS3s, and DC emulation itself took like a year or so (I think more) before something useful came out.

Well, I was thinking that maybe if I installed an OS other than the one that was already on the PS3, that it would allow me to play emus.
I also read the other day that someone had figured out how to play burned PS2 and 1 games on their PS3. That's a little bit nuts.

From what I understand some people have already ran emu's on their PS3, but its not really that popular of a idea because really what is the point. The thing is already backwards compatible, and the psp is a far better system for emulating anyways because it's portable. If I wanted to mod a console, I would probably buy a used xbox (hell a used modded one) on the ebay.
I just don't want to screw up my 600 dollar masterpiece.
well, I know burned iso's worked fine on the original playstation, I can't imagine its hard to get a burned ps2 disc working on the ps3...but idk.
Anywho, if you do decide to put a OS and some emu's on yours...definatly tell me about it, I might actually be interested when it comes down to it.
What are you running on your PSP btw? I upgraded to 3.51 M33, and its pretty sweet.

Oh yeah I remember you can install Linux on your PS3, and quite a few emus run on Linux.
I am very interested in running burned PS1 and PsS2 games on the PS3, though. There are old PS1 games I have that I want to preserve like FF Tactics and Suikoden 2, games I really wanted to get real copies of but couldn't.
