Yep, I'm a turncoat...and proud of it! I now own a PS3, and I couldn't be more impressed with the system. The system itself seems incredibly well designed, and the format of the menu's and stuff kick ass, along with the psp connectivity and even sixaxis.......okay, now enough with ranting on about the positive's of the system, ill do that after work tonight.

I got Resistance, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Full Auto 2, and The Darkness, also I got Tekken Dark Ressurection on the Harddrive.

I've been playing some Resistance, it's not a bad game online. I was expecting slightly more out of it, but its still a pretty fun game. Anyone else here play online?

I got most of your PSN id's from the other thread, but in case you didn't know, my id is "ismokerocks"

Care to elaborate on your PSN id or should we just assume you're a crack addict? ;)

The Darkness is one game I have no interest in playing online. The single player is good enough for me, though I haven't played it in almost two weeks.

I used to have Resistance. It wasn't a bad online game. Didn't really stand out like Rainbow Six Vegas, but it wasn't bad.

I'd be game to play some RFoM. Also Motorstorm.

BTW, congrats on your new system!

Congrats.

I see you got Full Auto 2. How's that?

I second Cuddly's recommendation of Motorstorm. I freaking love that game, and the supposed shallowness of the game is way over exaggerated. The game is what it is, and it rocks.

Download Calling All Cars, too. Seriously fun little game.

Cool userid. I don't smoke rocks, but the buds I picked up today--true Sour Diesel Kush, look like gorgeous little green rocks. Not really relevant to the thread, but these are just such potent, gorgeous way supremo buds I had to brag about them somewhere. This should help explain why my two favorite games on Ps3 are flOw and Super Rub a Dub :D

I sold my ROFM :(

Until Warhawk then!

I might end up getting Warhawk, if it's in third-person. Is it?

And Gad, I'm jealous. I haven't smoked chronic in months, ever since I moved back home. I always think that I should buy some, but then I decide to score me some quality Mexi-weed and use the rest of the cash-flow on games to play while doped-up. The Mex will get you almost as high, it just takes a few more tokes, and it's not like I'm smoking weed that came out of a tire like my friends seem to enjoy. This is local quality sh!t.

While I'm here, is it possible to add funds to my wallet with a debit card? I had to cancel my CC's for a number of reasons, so now all I use is cash or debit. Please say it's so, because I can't find any kind of points cards or anything like the WIi and 360 have for their stores.

And if you think about it, Motorstorm isn't shallow, or at least not when comparing to other racers. Even when you break down the Forzas and Turismos, it all ends up just being a gas/break deal. If anything, Motorstorm and Burnout are deeper because you also have to manage boost properly.

NCAA Football 08 is the only game I own. My dad owns Vegas so I guess I'm up for that.

I also plan on picking up Warhawk. That game sounds sweet.

Otherwise I own and are up for any of these online- RFOM, Motorstorm, MLB 07

I've been playing through the campaign on RFOM and the game is better than I expected. It's no where near as bland and generic as some folks around here say it is. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Haven't tried the online portion however since I've been having some internet issues (damn Time Warner).

Congrats 88 but I always thought you were more in the Sony camp I didn't think you getting a PS3 would be a turncoat deal. Guess I can be pretty dense at reading allegiances on this board. I take it you got the PS3 second hand?

Fiveski, good to see you enjoying Resistance, I think the only people who called it generic were the XBots putting it down in favor of Gears. Me, I will probably never play it even if I get a PS3, simply because I can't be bothered to play a shooter with a gamepad. I would play it otherwise.

Fivespot, while I am no crack addict, I love making stupid names for online games. I was going to be Sgt****head or Admiral F***head but obviously neither of those would work. PackratXXXnasty was my other option, but hell, my friend called it.

Haven't got the chance to play Fullauto2 yet, but I will definatly be popping it in pretty soon. My sisters are playing it though, they that type of game.

I'll have to check out calling all cars.

Yeah, some friends got a hold of some setiva the other day (I guess thats how you spell it). Made for a interesting night for them at work haha.

Well, I was heavily leaning towards a 360, but then a friend at work told me how he was at another friends house and when he turned on the 360 and popped in a game it red ringed...so he just put everything back where it was and left the scene haha. Its one thing to read about problems like that on the internet, but when people all around you are actually experiencing that defect, it kind of kills the enthusiasm one would have for the system.

and yeah, I bought it secondhand...actually, i don't think I would have ever bought it new. I only bought it because it came with some ****, and the guy approached me about buying it.

but yeah, I'm up for almost any online game on the PS3. Is Tekken online?

Lmfao! I think that's the funniest thing i've heard all day.

But then again, i'd of just walked off too. Imagine turning on your 360 the next day, and seeing the Red Ring of Death. You'd be like, Sh!t, What have I done?!

Imagine that friend coming in the next day whining "Damn it guys my 360 got the Red Rings of Death! Curse MS I hate their guts why can't they make better quality hardware?" And then your friend is smirking guiltily behind him rolling his eyes.

Funny posts.

And Tekken isn't online... yet. I guess they're making a newer version that will have it, but I think you'll have to re-buy it if you already have the other one. Slade would know better than I about that.

The Mex will get you almost as high, it just takes a few more tokes, and it's not like I'm smoking weed that came out of a tire like my friends seem to enjoy. This is local quality sh!t.

We could probably start a weed thread in general discussion. But anyway, SF, with all the legal med-clinics and medical growing fields up north in Mendicino, it's like Amersterdam. I haven't even seen mex-weed here, just varying degrees of top-notch weed. In other places I've lived, 95% of what people smoked was green or brown brick-weed, presumably from mexico.

I actually looked up some info about this Kush at Wikipedia, and it made the point that this stuff isn't available hardly anywhere in the US except CA. Like I said, everything I've been getting is pretty incredible stuff, but the last time I had anything like this was a strain called Trainwreck I smoked with someone when Nine Inch Nails played here last year. Or the year before. Whenever. Except the Trainwreck made me immobile for about an hour before the "clear white light" buzz kicked in. Literally couldn't move from my chair. I've never bought Trainwreck before for myself, it's just way too stupifying potent, if you can even find it.

What is the Mex going for? It seemed like in the central states it was always around $50 a quarter ounce. Good bud is at least twice that much, often more. But I've always felt it was worth the extra money because the quality of the buzz is so much better, not just that you are higher, but the different strains have unique buzzes, so I always like to keep three or four varieties around depending on my mood, or what guests in my home may prefer. And the pleasure of smoking it of course, the flavor is major important to me; with the Cannabis Club's it's become much like the wine-tasting up in Sonoma and Napa Valley. Everyone here seems to be all about the "purple" bud, but it's all hype and people like the color; it's definitely not the most potent bud. So really, I guess it's good that everyone has started jumping on the purple wagon, it leaves more of that gorgeous electric green and white stuff available, which is much better.

This Sour Diesel Kush--buds are small and dense, dark green underneath a heavy layer of orange hairs-- was one of the few varities I've gotten that has the buzz I like to call "The Pure White Light". . . no edginess or paranoia, and you don't feel stupid-stoned, and the buzz lasts a LONG time, whereas I remember that I've never smoked any mex that had a buzz that lasted much longer than 45 minutes.

It is a very "up" buzz, and brings--instead of the kind of fuzzy glow--a crystal clear buzz with sharpened visual acuity. I was watching an old Dr. Who episode, and I was seeing it like I'd never seen it before, noticing tons of little details about the props and prop construction (even noticed that the silver stripes on this alien's tube were actually just duct tape.) Yeah. Anyway, seriously incredible bud. Normally wouldn't brag, but it was really remarkable, and I know enough of you guys are heads and might enjoy a little "pot talk."

And, uhm, PS3 rules!

LOL

The mex here runs 30 dollars for half an ounce, or 20 bones for 7 to 10 grams. It's better to just buy an oz for fifty and smoke blunts. Tears up your lungs, though. Chronic runs at about 30 to 50 dollars for an 8th, and a bill for a quarter, depending on its availability.

There was also some killer hash around here for 20 dollars a gram that was out of this world. It was my first time smoking hash, and it laid me out sick like.

I find that half an ounce of MS customer service has the same effect as 20x the amount of HASH.

You Guys & Girls should try some, sometime.

Too bad the internet doesn't allow me to attach a bud to an email so I could shoot you over a sample. I mean, it should right, since Al "pot head" Gore invented it?

Blunts, just can't do it. That's why I find the highest grade bud I can, and then smoke it primarily with a bong. Cooled filtered smoke, and its a better way to really appreciate the flavor, which on some of the varieties, for me, that's half the fun. I STILL haven't found the variety of Kush that tastes like fruit loops, or the stuff called "Blue Berry" because that's what it is supposed to taste like. I'm considering actually getting a vaporizer. Have you seen or tried that? It's a smokeless way to "smoke" the bud that is supposedly the healthiest way to consume your bud, and is a pure high because you don't get all the toxins you do with smoking.

First time I tried hash was some Morrocon hash a friend brought back from Amsterdam, it was the most amazing buzz. It was like my head was filled with flower petals. Weird, but maybe you know what I mean. I hadn't had real hash in years until last fall when I got some as a gift. Smoked it on Thanksgiving day, and then went to town on the Turkey and stuffing. YEAAAAAH. . . . . .

I'd have to say the most hardcore stuff that i've come across was blueberry. My friends took a few hits of it and were basically in a coma. 10 minutes later they both threw up and passed out.

expensive stuff

Cuddly Knife

Light-weights. LOL

And Gad, I have smoked out of a vaporizer, which is really neat and like you say healthier, but it burns the buds like no tomorrow. And when you have the left over piece, it isn't smokable. Or at least I didn't want to smoke it.

I also like to smoke out of bongs that have ice instead of water, but I end up taking in way too much smoke and my lungs are toast by two hits. At least with joints or even a regular glass pipe(I refuse to smoke out of metal, and don't much like wood pipes either), I can control my hits, when I'm not in the mood to take a cougher.

In other weed-smoking news, I recently discovered(at the smoke shop) a type of rolling paper that is clear and tasteless. My friend said something about them being made out of vegatable gluten or something like that. I would imagine that chron would be great to smoke through one of these papers.

Gratz on your PS3 88!

I don't know how this buddy thing works. If you add me, does it give me an option to add you? Or do I have to manually search you out and add you?

Anyway like I said previously, I have a PS3 but no games for it. I'm still trying to finish all these last-gen games I have, and the last thing I need right now are PS3 games. Feel free to add me, but you won't be seeing me online anytime soon.

And congrats again on the system, it really is pretty slick.

Congrats! I'll check my list when I get home tonight. I have Marvel for PS2. Does it matter which version when you play online?

When we play Halo I use either Lord Gonad or Hurts When I Pee. But on PS3 I'm just T-Tashi.

It should pop on your PS3 and be real easy to manage. I think you are actually the only one who hasn't accepted a friend request yet, for obvious reasons though. Haha we are basically mirror characters in battlefield 2 i saw, considering we both don't really pimp many upgrades. We have to play that sometime, but, the PS3 is consuming all my time right now.

Well I just added most of you losers since I finally decided to bust out the PS3. Unfortunately I still don't have any PS3 games, and the one game I was considering buying (Resistance) turned out to be utter doo-doo after I played the demo, so the wait is on. Until then I'm going to be playing all the great PS2 games I missed, and my first purchase was Xenosaga.

Ya took the same avy that I had, ya schmoe! It's alright though, because now I have a straight-faced roundy.

Can PS2 games be played online on the PS3? I wish they hadn't shut down the MGS3 online part of the game, cause I'd be all over it right now.

Yeah you can play PS2 games online on the PS3. I've heard of people playing Resident Evil Outbreak on the PS3, and PS2 gamers even dislike them because the PS3 cuts down on the load times by around 3-5 seconds, so by the time the PS2 gamers load up the PS3 dude is already out of sight.

Just played the GRAW2 demo, and that game seems pretty fun for some co-op action. The one thing I didn't like is that the game isn't made for a small TV, as on my dinky-ass dorm TV the enemies are so f***ing far away I have to sit really close and squint to see anything, which ends up hurting my eyes after a while. But the game is definitely a lot of fun, and I could see some fun co-op action going on there.

I also did some reading up on Calling All Cars, and that game seems pretty fun as a party game. IGN went so far as to say it's better than anything on XBLA (!), so it seems like it might be worth a look-see. Unfortunately I'm thinking you need a headset to have the most fun with it (all the cursing and all), and so it might not be that fun for someone who plays online but has no headset (i.e. me).

PapaSmurf

Screw GRAW2 on the PS3. I'll be playing that the way it's mean to be played...on my PC like GRAW1. Actually though, after playing the demo it's in the same setting in Mexico with few improvements. I'm not shelling 40$ + for basically the same single player campaign with new maps. The first one was fun but I'd rather fight in the snow or forests. The Mexican desert **** needs to go.
