First off I would like to say that this is one of the biggest breakthroughs any game system ( besides nintendos old cartridge trick ), that PS3 can support the play of Imports without emulation. I bought this RPG / Adventure game called Folks Soul: The Lost Folklore, yeah the title is a bit much but the gameplay is actually pretty decent. I'm glad Sony took it a step further where other platforms wouldn't.
Sony came out slow with the next gen war but they will be blowing things out of the water shortly I imagine.

Yeah that's pretty good about the PS3. It's funny, but there's no real reason why there should be regions on games/movies, other than to sell them at different prices, and maybe the odd language difference here and there.

You know, I totally forgot about this feature. Great deal too, because last gen there were a number of foreign games on all three consoles that I wanted to get, but I never could because of region specific deals, or me never getting the Freeloader(?) for the Cube. Thanks for the reminder, Dryburgh

I've known about this for a long while and almost got Folklore because of it but apparently the story is a huge point for the game and while the cutscenes are in English, the actual story is mainly told through text, which is in Japanese. After reading a few impressions, I decided to wait for the N. American release.
