Mine is RBH44, or RBH 44. Can't remember if there's a space or not. I have the Ratchet Deadlocked icon that should show up, so that should help a bit.

I doubt if you have a space. I tried several variants and it was really picky.

I sent you an add request T. Tashi. And RBH is RBH44 on the PSN (no spaces). Not sure if names are case sensitive or not. My name is FIVESPOT rather than Fivespot.

I haven't set up my online yet because my wireless goes in and out can't DL the whole update so it always starts me over. I might need a new router. Anyways I'll try to be on it by the end of the week. We need to get Gad on this too.

How long does it take to Dl the updates? My modem is a POS and so is Quest, my internet cuts out when the phone rings. I'm pretty sure I could get the update done at night, though.

Dashboard updates take about 15 minutes to download and a few more minutes to install. DL's seemingly are slower on the PS3. Not sure why.

PSN ID is now Papazmurf.
And cuddly, I wouldnt know how long it takes on the PS3 because i've never completed a DL with it. I don't know why it can't save the part of the DL it has already DL'd because when you're downloading games and movies from the PS Store, those files get saved, so even when my internet cuts out they just continue from where they left off. When the firmware is updated you don't get that option. If you're wondering, I just downloaded the update from my computer and put it on a memory stick.

Thanks for the add guys! Got both of them this morning after updating to version 1.9.
And I noticed something cool last week. My friends list for the first time ever showed what game someone was playing (Jupiter X - Final Fantasy XII or similar). YAY!! Previously it just showed whether or not a friend was online but I couldn't tell what game they were playing. Still leaves a lot to be desired when compared to the more robust functionality of XBOX Live but it certainly is a step in the right direction.
Anyone try Calling All Cars yet? Might be a fun multiplayer title or so I've heard.

Calling All Cars next on my list. I've been playing flOw, as well as the shooter (very geometry warrish I heard) Blast Factor, gorgeous, runs in 1080p, totally trippy underwater effects. This is a game I'd totally recommend to Cuddly. There's another game too that's a weird puzzle/shooter game played inside cells. Hard to explain. Also downloaded Rub a Dub Dub, this trippy six-axis tilty game with yellow rubber ducks.

Based on your feedback I've been considering Flow although I've also heard it's super easy and has no real challenges and is rather just a trippy, visual affair. Is that true?
Calling All Cars looks like it could be a lot of fun especially multiplayer wise. I downloaded the trailer off PSN the other day and have been intrigued ever since.
Blast Factor sounds cool but also sounds like a Geo Wars clone to a certain extent. And Geo Wars is the bomb so I can't imagine liking a clone more than the original.
Back on topic- it's nice to see so many VGR vets joining PSN. Lots of gaming potential in the future.

fLow is barely a game. But I absolutely love it anyway. It's more of a meditation relaxation tool for me, beautiful colors and sounds, and its sort of a game.
Blast Factor is really sweet. There's a FREE demo version of it. Try it out, just to see those gorgeous lights and explosions and water effects all together. Screenshots or even vid clips just don't do most games justice. Especially now days.
Geo Wars, and XBLA stuff was one of the big draws for me on 360, but I'm really impressed with the content on PSN, even though it has barely gotten rolling.
What helped me with my Geo Wars envy is that a full fledged multi-world version of the game is coming to DS and Wii. The Wii version of Geometry Wars sounds like the ultimate, and I'm glad that will be the first way I've played it.

All right looks like I've got quite a bunch of you added to my friends list. I'm actually messing around with my PS3 from my PSP (remote play, I'll make a new thread about that) so I can be on my PC upstairs. My wifi still goes in and out I think it's my service provider, so I won't be able to do any real online gaming until it gets fixed or I go back to college, which is in a little more than a month.
Man I forgot how I liked being able to download demos for previewing games. I used to do it all the time on the PC, but I stopped for some reason. If it wasn't for demo's I wouldn't ever have bought Company of Heroes which was the best game I play last year. Anyways, as I said after messing around with demos looks like I'm going to be buying AC4. Saves me the hassle of renting games.
Also I downloaded the trailer for home and I've gotta admit that it looks awesome. It'll be it's own game. For meeting up for games though I don't know if people will want to go through hassle of meeting up with people with their virtual identity. Lots of potential here, hopefully Sony can deliver on it.

Alright well my PSN ID is ilnadmy, but my PS3 is currently packed in as I didn't buy any games for it, mainly because all I've got is a 15" or 17" TV, and I've still got a bunch of GameCube games I'm still playing. I added Tashi, but I don't know what happened with that (I packed the PS3 in 15 mins after I got it :D).
Anyway feel free to add me, but don't expect to see me online anytime soon.

Hehe, it's because it was $100 cheaper, comes with 5 free Blu-ray movies, and because I'm looking forward to the big games dropping in the fall. Plus even if there is a price drop next year, it'll still be $500, so getting one right now I get to use it for longer, and at the same price. I also haven't played GOW2, FFXII, and Rogue Galaxy, and I sold my PS2, so I was thinking of getting those in the meantime.

That was a huge reason for me, to get the Ps2/Ps1 chipset, and a $100 off, and over $100 of Blu-ray movies. I wasn't really feeling like I needed a new console yet as I'm flooded with Ps2, Wii, DS and PsP games right now.
I had been saying for a long time, and meaning it, that I didn't need or really want either the Ps3 or 360 until at least early '08. . . because of Wii games and because of the Ps2 games I'm playing. And that is still somewhat true despite buying the Ps3. I will be playing the Ps2 games on the Ps3 which upscales them nicely. They look a lot better.
However, with a new toy, gotta try some new software too. Have been playing a lot of stuff from the PSN store, fLow, Super Rub a Dub, Calling All Cars, Nucleus, Blast Factor, and Gran Turismo HD, which is suprisingly impressive, and has my itch going for a deep racing sim (ironically making me want Forza 2.) I'm still playing the hell out of Motorstorm, absolutely love this game. It is Mario-Kart almost in its light, non-realistic racing gameplay--its just the distilled essense of big crazy fun-- and the graphics are really eye melting. Have dabbled with Oblivion and can't wait to sink some serious hours into that. Have put a couple hours just to check out The Darkness. Sick twisted humor in that one, relatively impressive graphics. Am going to fit Odin Sphere in next as the Ps2 game I'm playing. Probably God of War 2 before long as well. A game, that when upscaled, looks to me right there with most of the Xbox's pre-gears releases.
So, I bought the system for the reasons you said--getting a good deal and the hardware I wanted. But I'm really loving the system, have barely touched the Wii except when guests, friends/relatives want to play it. And Wii Sports hasn't lost ANY of its fun factor in those situations.
360 didn't have any better of a first year than Ps3, but guys bought it because they were ready for something more, and they bought it in anticipation of YEAR 2. 360 has a sweet year end. But it's no sweat, because stuff like Home, Lair, Little Big Planet, GTA IV and a long list of other games are what I am looking forward to over the next 6-8 months.
The Ps3 is delivering so much more entertainment than I expected or hoped for. Several weeks have passed, and I still have that really happy, fuzzy feeling about the console. The completeness of it, the HD movie playback, the upscaled PS2 games, the downloads for ps3/psp, the media aspects, the price being the same as the less featured failure prone 360--and of course, several of the Ps3 games. For now, I might be more awed and impressed by this console than maybe any other console I've bought. And as an older jaded gamer, that wasn't something I ever expected to happen again.

Hey Gad, this is the PS3 forum. I see you're still in System Wars mode when you posted that here.
But all this talk about PS2/1 games gives me an idea for a thread here...

I thought the exact same thing when I finished reading his post. I kind of yawned afterwards, just like I end up doing with most of the SW posts.

Motorstorm will be cool. If I don't download anything Thursday from the PSN store, then I'll hook up my PS3 to the internet on the weekend.
