The playable demo for this game is a whopping 449megs at the PS3 Network, but man, I am amazed, stupified, and almost incontinent after playing it.

It's due out the 28th of August, and erase the kiddie element aspect from your mind. This game is going to kick azz! This is hacking, slashing, blasting, zooming, and rocking like no other game I've ever seen!

dozens upon dozens of high polygon count enemies onscreen at once! awesome detail! beautiful weapon effects! tripped out mechs and weapons! ultra tight control! and god, the artwork! an anime lovers dream! killer audio too.

I have not been into mech fighters since the Virtual On series, but I am definitely getting this game!

449 Megs is pretty low compared to other demos. I belive Ninja Gaiden Sigma was 900+ Megs, and Gran Turismo is probabbly even more.

I enjoyed the DW:Gundam demo. It was the first Gundam game that had good, non-clunky controls. The only things that could be a problem with the full version are: 1) Saves, and how many. The missions seem like they can be pretty long, so I don't want to feel like I'm trapped playing the game longer than I want to or have time to. If there's a few save points (or even unlimited saves, it doesn't matter), then that will solve the problem. 2) The long range weapon in the demo is very weak. I hope with some upgrading, it will become useful. That's about it as far as my impression. The DW formula isn't really tweaked in a big way, but just having better characters really helps big time.

It's on my list, but I don't think I'll get it for $60, though. Either a good sale or a price drop in '08 will have to happen first.

I dug the demo too. That was a lot of dialogue for a demo, which is ok. I'm always happy to get a good story and I like anime, but I would've preferred some more gameplay and maybe another mech or 2. I'll keep an eye on it. My wife would go nuts. She loves giant robot mech anime and she likes hack-n-slash.
