Talk is that Sony is going to be hosting a Gamer's Day Event in San Diego next week on Monday. Stuff like Uncharted, Ratchet and a few others are going to have hands on stuff there. Here's to hoping for some more unannounced games.

I hope they give a lot of hands-on on some games I'm looking forward to. The only one I have some updated info on is Heavenly Sword, courtesy of Gamepro Magazine (first one in about 3 or 4 years).

KillZone2?

I am more excited about the Square Party though. Star Ocean 1 and 2 remake. Star Ocean 4 and so on. I wonder if we are going to find out a ff7 remake is in the works.

Killzone 2 is probably going to be shown at the new E3 in July. That's when Phil Harrison said that it would make its next appearance.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing Uncharted most of all. Plus, I want some accurate release dates for the titles that are going to see release this holiday season.

New info is going to get released tonight as the embargo over the event expires. Here's a new Heavenly Sword vid:

Most of the Sony first party info is out right now at IGN.

This is primarily all Sony first party stuff. Reportedly, there was other third party stuff at the show and it will be released later today and tomorrow.

Trailers for all these games can be seen at www.gametrailers.com

Embargo?

SOCOM as an online-only game just seems like a bad idea to me. It would have a chance with a singleplayer component. Without it, I'm not even going to waste time reading anything about the game.

It would be nice of Sony would put some of these demo on their PSN that they are playing at their "Gamer's Day".

Embargo?

What about the concept would you like me to explain?

I finally saw some of the videos on GT.

Even though the game looks the same-ish from months ago, I'm starting to get pumped for Heavenly Sword. Graphics are sweet, and the gameplay looks like it could be top-tier, when someone good is playing it, that is. Different fighting style take on the kill all that moves genre. Hopefully the enemy AI is improved, because they act like the guys in DW.

I still can't figure out why I'm not excited for Lair. The graphics look nice, but the gameplay is still very meh in my eyes. Still reminds me too much of Drakan, or whatever it's called.

GOW PSP is also looking neat.

After watching some HD video at Gamespot, Uncharted has officially jumped on my list of games. My first impression was "Dude Raider" with better combat.I'm glad to see Naughty Dog make something else that wasn't a mascot game and wasn't a FPS (unlike Insomniac).

I haven't watched any Folklore video, but I'll be shocked if it impresses me, considering who's developing the game.

Game Trailers is unreliable for me. When I'm watching or downloading a movie, they usually seem to cut short.

Being that I'm more critical of these types of games, I'm still a bit tentative but damn, does the game look good or what. Direct Feed trailer:

I'll be there day one but if this game and DMC4 release relatively close to each other, it's going to have some pretty big shoes to fill.

This game jumped up on my list. It's being made by the guy that created the Shin Megami Tensei series. It's an action RPG and it looks pretty good.

Sony will release a Folklore demo on the Japanese PSN in early June.

I hope the demos from Sony's Gamer Day make it to the PSN over here....before the games are released. Even Folklore, which will give people a chance to see if the game is worth getting or not.

I finally saw a video of Folklore on 1up.com. It looked like it could be better than I thought, especially with actual camera control with the R-analog stick. The Genji guys are supposed to be the devs, so that does make me hesitant on the game, but I'll keep my eyes on it for now.

From playing the demo, I can tell you that you only have full camera control during battles.

Is the camera decent while not in combat? If it's like Genji 2 outside of combat, then I could put up with it...maybe.

It's decent outside of combat. Basically, it's set far enough back that you can see all that you need to see. The game is more an action RPG then a full scale action title.

Rogue Bounty Hunter

That's good to hear. PS3 needs some action-rpgs, to offset all of the traditional rpgs that will flood the system in a couple of years.

yeah i agree. have any of you played MLB 07 The Show for PlayStation 3? I thought it was awesome

yeah what did you think of the real time rosters?

I have yet to download any rosters, but I may since I'm going to restart my season.

yeah u can play with the exact lineup each MLB team is actually playing with that day. it's pretty cool

I wouldn't want to use that option. I'd rather have control over my own lineups.

Folklore preview. Game looks pretty good. May be an '08 pickup for me, though, due to other stuff on my gaming list.

man, that does look incredible! very trippy indeed.

I finally got my ps3 online wirelessly, it was a simple fix that I had to figure out myself, just an incorrect default DNS entry which I had to manually type in the correct one for. you'd think with all the updates Sony would fix something so easy.

I don't have any online games yet, tho. I just got a hdtv a couple of weeks ago, and did dl the Ultraviolet BluRay trailer from the sony network. that was impressive.

less impressive was the crappy selection of ps1 titles for purchase. I hope they get their act together on that.

I have a few online games. NHL 07, MLB The Show, The Darkness, but I'm not interested in playing any online. I'm just not a big online gamer.

I never seen Ultraviolet. I know the RE movie chick stars in it. I may have to check the trailer out, though I seriously doubt I'd get it on Blu-Ray. Costs too much.
