Microsoft's Xbox may be on the path to "reach a billion people" but the company's "disastrous endeavor" that has been losing money from the get-go is going to reach a milestone next year. It's going to turn a profit.

I'm saying, they claim they'll be making a profit because the hardware will no longer be sold at a loss next year, and they'll begin making a profit on software and peripherals, but you say in advance the "profit" will only be because of replacing broken units (like replacing stuff under warranty creates profit.)

Broken units pump the numbers sold a little. I mean, we all know that a certain percentage of the Ps2 #'s are replaced units too, so their "installed base" figures are a little inflated (10% at least would be my guess). That doesn't mean they still didn't sell a lot of systems to a lot of people.

I never said anything about making profit. I only pointed out how M$ has been taking lies out of their butt and feeding it to the public. Other than xbots, no one else bought it, of course. I was trying to point out that looking good on better doesn't mean it's doing well. 10 million 360 sold/shipped/whatever. It's not as rosy as M$ puts it.

It's Rogue Squadron on a dragon and some crap, lackluster Sixassis controls thrown in. Puhleez!

The PS3 console isnt selling well due to its pricetag,none of the games on the PS3 is selling well,there arent many games on the PS3 worth talking about yet,most of the biggest titles that used to be PS3 exclusives are going multiplat,most of the titles that may make alot of noise wont be coming out anytime soon,and Ken Kutaragi has stepped down because in the eyes of many the PS3 currently is listed as a failure after its 6 month lifespan.
