View Full Version : FFXIII Confirmed not Exclusive, but not not exclusive either!?

The FFXIII project, Fabula Nove Crystallis, currently consists of two PS3 games and a mobile one, but with a planned six titles in total, Square Enix's Motomu Toriyama has confirmed (http://gamefront.de/) that other formats will be getting FFXIII games.

So apparently from the beggining the game was never meant to be exclusive and they are making six different versions of the game FFXIII. Two have been confirmed for PS3, one for the mobile phone. So where do the other three versions go. This news is kind of hard to understand as it appears there are actually going to be 6 different games of the game? WTF? So which one is going to be the good one, which one is going to be the bad one, which one is going to be the MAIN one!? Square hasn't said what systems the other three versions are going to, but it could be the PSP, DS, Wii, 360, PC, or maybe something else I don't know about. If ya'll can find more news that'll be interesting. Only time will tell about this little this Square-Enix is trying to pull off.

Probably spin-offs like FFXIII Super Chocobo Race Balloon Track Silver Emerald Collector's Edition Extra (FFXIII:SCRBTSECEE).

Fabula Nove Crystallis is Square's next big vision for the Final Fantasy franchise. It's the story arc for the next series of games. That includes FF XIII. In order to get the whole story tho' you'll have to buy and play thru the other 5 games - which are coming out for various systems. It's kind of like... Marvels' Civil War.

hopefully they give us a FFXIII PSP title...because crisis core won't be enough

how is Shadow of Agmar? damn, I wish I could beta test for Warhammer Online, does LOTR compare well to WOW?

Eh, it's okay. Kinda like WoW with Ringwraiths and with a more serious art direction. I'd probably like it alot more if I weren't so burnt out on MMO games.

At least Xenosaga was a continuing story released on a single system. This is just something potentially dumb.

What he said. I couldn't play past level 8 it's so boring. It's not that it's bad per se, it's just compared to WoW it doesn't hold a candle. The art direction is more serious, but that also makes it a lot more boring, because each area looks exactly like the previous one, and the enemies look all so unspectacular.

As long as it doesn't suck like Xenosaga, I am fine with it.

IMO, the two PS3 FFXIII titles look interesting and....promising...
