I went to buy GH2 for 360 this weekend. It was sold out every game store in my area. It was rumoured to be available at Best Buy, but as I was trading in GRAW2, i wanted to buy it in a gaming store. So I decided to wait.

Now today I read at IGN that Guitar Hero 3 is rumored to be dropping this fall for Wii, PS3, and 360!!!! So now i've got a dilemma! Do I drop $90 for GH2 and settle for a wired controller or do I wait and get GH3 which will probably have more and better songs and will probably have at least a wireless controller!

Anyway, I'm gonna wait. First of all $90 is too much, especially for a wired controller. I know that MS wouldn't just let them use their wireless tech for free. But it seems like if it isn't wireless they are not paying licensing to MS, this is a port, so it shouldn't be $90. Anyway, if the game was available I would have it, so I guess it is a victim of its on success. But now that I know GH3 is only a few months away, i'm gonna wait.

I'm in the same dilemma you are I've never played a GH game. I was thinking about picking this one up. But the moment I saw that neversoft was taking over the franchise and Activision had complete publishing of the title now I figured it would be a yearly title.

Plus with the announcement of Rock Band by the makers of GH I think the $90 price tag is too much. If MS would require them to make the periphiael avaialable for any game I might would pick it up. but as it is I'm going to wait.

Rock Band sounds so much more interesting than Guitar Hero, I would wait for that one if I wanted something along these lines.

I'm not hyped about rock band yet. I mean it seems GH is a proven game in terms of being fun and entertaining. We don't know if RB is gonna be as good. But if it is out at about the same time GH3 then i'll compare the two but its tough to get that formula together that makes a good game.

True, but well you personally don't know how Guitar Hero plays so in your shoes I would rather trust my own instincts over which will be better, rather than the heresay of the gaming community (well maybe hearsay is too harsh a world... it is universal acclaim after all). I mean, from the details I glean from the two games, it seems to me Rockband is clearly the superior product. Non-cover songs alone make it far better IMO.

All in all though this kind of game isnt my thing, so I'm not in a good position to determine whcih is best.
