I just started replaying WoW after a 4 month absence (got bored to hell with the game), and I'm really enjoying it now. My 59 shaman just entered Outland yesterday, I just started a Blood Elf rogue on Black Dragonflight, and a Draenei mage on Altar of Storms. Gotta say the Draenei starting area is the best of them all! It's just so surreal.
So anyway, what's everyone else up to in the wide world of WoW?

Good question. I have a better one. Why haven't you played FFXI yet?

i would have been playing wow, if not for the 14 or 15 dollar fee. i don't play that much, so i would be spending A LOT of money if i played wow. i would rather just play games without fees. it's too bad lord of the rings online will also have a fee.

Because FFXI came along at a time when I thought that MMORPGs were evil and and a waste of money. Then came Guild Wars and WoW and here I am.
What's your excuse?

Well when WoW came out I was taking a hiatus from FFXI (well just MMO's in general). I heard WoW came out, but that it's easy as hell to level your character. My characters in FFXI are only a little over halfway to being maxed out. I've heard the reward of accomplishment is much better in FFXI then in WoW.
WoW has a free trial (so does FFXI though if you look hard enough, and I mean really hard) so I suppose I might try it out for a month. I have seen my cousin play it though and I'm still not too sure about it. Also I've never particularly been drawn to the warcraft universe. Oh well.
WoW is pretty much all I've been playing lately. I've got two toons, a 44 warlock and a 34 hunter. prettypaine and I are officers in the same guild on Shadowsong. We're on there most nights shooting the bull with the other guildie regulars.

Woot just hit 60! Too bad the level cap is 70 now.
Reason i got turned off from WOW is because the game has very shallow char development.Doesnt matter how you build your character as having great equipment can make even the crappiest characters seem good.Tis why i liked NWN more online over any other rpg/mmorpg as character development on there matters.Another thing i got quite tired of was the recycled enemies from area to area and continent to continent. Its a good game no doubt but i just cant understand how some people play it for years without growing tired of it.One last gripe about WOW it is way way to gold reliant.everything costs even your skills which i find absolutley ridiculous. You would think by leveling you would get a few skills to choose from but you pay for it all.Wheres the reward in leveling??Hell it made me not want to level cause i knew it would be another 5-10 gold out of my pocket to buy skills.Fun game no doubt but i think my initial impressions were way off im sure there are other mmorpg that are better, infact im thinking of giving ff 11 a go

I sure hope I can find that buddy pass for you bane. I actually have an extra account if you can't find it though. It still has some free days on it so if you were to play it this month and I think a little bit of next it would be free. I just have to find away for you get to actually get the game. I'll keep you updated.
I am enjoying the Outlands and my hunter is nearly 66. The new content is keeping it fun for me and the new instances. Never been much in the huge raid dungeons...too time consuming for my limited gaming time.
My poor Paly is 34 now I think and doesn't get much play time with Outland calling me all the time. Once I see everything and do more of the instances I may switch to another mmrpg later. Or just take a break for a year and finish the slew of single player rpgs I have gathered.
MMrpgs are fun but damn a huge timesink taking years to really see the majority of stuff in them. I spent 2 years in Asheron's Call (L 62 warrior) Dabbled in AO for a few months ( L 33 somethingrather) and Guild Wars for 6 months or so. Wow is going over 2 years now off and on. No wonder I got a large library of unfinished games !!!!!!!!

Yeah my Shaman is now 61 (hit that a few days ago), and then I started up a female Blood Elf Rogue, which is going quite well actually. I just got into the Ghostlands, which is a really atmospheric area.
Outland IS fun. I never actually enjoyed leveling up in vanilla WoW, but damn I'm actually enjoying questing in Outland. Probably because the environments are just so damn engrossing that it's hard not to be in awe. It's like playing the game for the first time again and going oooh aaah at everything.
Anyway, hopefully I'll hit 70 by the time I get to the US, then I can do some real raiding and PvP. :D

My mage is lvl 70 and my rogue is lvl 64. But I'm back in school now so I don't have much time to play... = (
I like zangermarsh the best in outlands have you been there yet ilnadmy? It's all psychedelic looking.

Yeah man all while I was questing there I was like, "This is soooo trippy!" It's really cool. I suppose if one were to smoke up and play that area it would be pretty cool. That's not my thing though, so I'll leave it to someone else to try out.
Now I'm in Terrokar, and I like it a lot less than Zangarmarsh. It's not bad, it's just kinda boring.

The arena is really cool when you get to lvl 70. It really did a lot for pvp. I'm really into that with my mage now. I'm trying to get some nice pvp gear.

I've been really into it since I re-joined after a 10 month hiatus (the reason why I haven't been around here much lol) I created a draenei shaman, and now its less then 50% away from the big 70, which I should hit later tonight or tomorrow. The game is alot better than it used to be, more fun and definately more interesting. I even upgraded my ram to 2GB last week to help with all the extra work load from all the eye candy.

Yea, nagrand is fun.. I'm really liking arena personally. The problem I had before with the battlegrounds was the stupid rez timer. You just wait 30 seconds (at most) and you're at full health and mana. But now with arena it's raw pvp. And when you pwn someone they're dead for good. The way it should be...

OK so I just hit 65 on my awesome Tauren Shaman yesterday. I now have enough money to get my epic mount, so my plan is to PvP non-stop in WSG, AB, and AV until I get 30 marks of honor from each of them to be able to get my epic Black War Kodo mount.
Enchanting is really pissing me off though. I'm up to skill 279, and could easily get it up to 300 if I wanted, it's just going to take the money I have left over for the epic mount. WHY does it have to be so expensive to level up? Jeez! My Skinning is around 340 right now and I haven't even been trying to level it up, just skin whatever I kill.
Also, now that there's the whole armory thing on the WoW site, what's everyone's character and your realm so I can look you up? My Shaman is Greatfoot, and I'm on the Black Dragonflight server, so you can check me out. My other alts are a level 21 rogue and a few level 2s, so nothing really to look at there.

Damn that's some serious stuff. I can see how the game can get in the way of real life though.
I've been playing around with my alts recently. My main is 68 and halfway to 69, my mage is level 20, my hunter 16, and my rogue 21. Can't be bothered to level my main within the next week, so I've been pvp'ing with him mainly.

What do you do, play the game at work? LOL!
