While the PS3 Milk Drinkers wait another YEAR or TWO for their great racing savior Gran Turismo 5, the successor to the game that single-handedly kicked GT4 to the curb will be arriving exclusively on the Xbox 360 in May. Motorstorm pretty? Hell no....it BLOWS Motorstorm to the curb. Feast thine eyes on true, next gen racing.

If this game supports the custom soundtrack feature I'll be buying it when it comes out.

Easy there '78!

If I remember correctly, Forza motorsport for the orig Xbox was graphically inferior to GTA 4 according to IGN (http://xbox.ign.com/articles/609/609884p4.html): "The in-game graphics are also good, but not great. Compared to a number of racers, specifically GT4, Forza holds up pretty well, but direct comparisons to that lowly PS2 game (how dare I!) prove a little disappointing. First, the car models aren't as good. They're just not."

The funny thing is the PS2 was technically inferior in every way to Xbox yet GT4 looked nearly identical graphically. Considering the PS3 is pretty much on par with 360 and given the proper dev time for GT5, I'd wouldn't draw your weapons too soon.

I personally enjoyed Forza due to the damage system and overall fresh start for a racing game.

The retail copy of MotorStorm is sick bro, don't judge the demo you played in EB.

Good pics but they are not live gameplay pics, more like cutscenes and instant repplays.,

Anyway Forza 2 will be the game to beat I cant wait.

Not to take anything away from GT4 because the game looked incredible but the cars were static where as in Forza you could modify the cars damage them in racing. So they were never going to get the level of detail GT would because of that. Now if GT comes out with a damage model and not that stupid penality and actually allows you to modify your cars and still looks better then you have something.

Didn't 78 used to fight with DTM all the time back in the day arguing against Forza? Or maybe I'm thinking of a different milkdrinker.

NEO, please, for the love of Jeebus, ease up on the quoting of the whole post, expecially if it's the one right above yours. Triple-so if you are just posting a 2 sentence reply applauding someone else's post.

And on your custom soundtrack deal, all 360 games support it. So do all b/c games, if the actual game has the option to turn off the in game soundtrack.

And I have to say that I'm more pumped for Motorsport than Forza 2, but that's just how I roll. I''ll be more pumped for Burnout Paradise City when that comes out over any game avaliable atm.

I agree with you here and I did regard that in my post above. I actually prefer Forza over GT4. I'm tired of the series and Forza offers something new. I really like the damage system in games more so then graphical beauty.

I have no doubt Forza 2 will shine both in visuals and physics. Motorstorm is no slouch tho..lol

Nope Mochan, you ARE thinking of the right Milk Drinker. I was a BIG Gran Turismo fan back in the day. And I argued all about how GT4 couldn't be beat. The reality of the situation though is that Microsoft did what I didn't expect. That is, they made a game that had a more diverse lineup of cars including Ferraris and the like (which GT doesn't have), customizable cars, beautiful graphics and full-on model damage.

In fact, at the time that Forza came out, I wasn't really gaming on the Xbox and didn't play it until just this year. But even then, I had to admit that Forza was "da bomb" and did many things that the GT series did NOT...including but not the least-online play which was a promised feature for GT4 that got axed before release.

Whether or not Forza looked better than GT4 is debatable. It certainly had better environments without the aliasing that plagued GT4 so much. The car models looked quite spectacular to me and close to on-par with GT4. But given the level of customization and the amount of damage you could put your car through, any minor quibbles there were forgiven.

I have no doubt that Forza 2 will be a killer title. It has been quietly in development since the first game became a success and with every passing month, it looks better and better as evidence by the replay shots I posted. But it should be noted that while replays-or course-offer more dynamic shots of the vehicles-it is IN GAME graphics and not touched up. Forza 2 will be a beautiful racer with more cars than the 1st game.

And with the FF steering wheel the game will rule the roost for some time to come as racers go. I've already seen that wheel used for a little as 90 bones (minus PGR FF).

I have the 360 wheel and it's pretty sweet although I haven't had much chance to use it yet. Once Forza comes out that should change quickly.

What is the point of tearing down Motorstorm which is a completely different style of racing game. I wouldn't knock Motorstorm either, I got it a week or so ago and it's a blast. Granted I probably had for fun in Burnout Revenge, but Motorstorm is definately a solid game and is a blast to play.

Honestly, I don't really care for realistic racers since I'm not a car buff... So something like Forza or GT don't really do anything for me.
