My son used to have an xBox and I loved playing Jet Set Radio Future. It's dead now and I'm getting him a PS2. Can anyone out there recommend a game for PS2 similar to JSRF? It has to be fairly easy cuz I pretty much suck. Thanks much.

I don't know what kind of game JSRF is, but I could recommend a few games that could be good for both you and him. BTW, how old is your son?

Music genres are always good for different levels of gamers.

Amplitude
Frequency
Parrappa the Rappa
Mad Maestro
And for the girl in you(even if you're a boy), Space Channel 5.

There is also this really great rythm-based game called Guitar Hero(and GH2) where you actually play a mini guitar to a bunch of excellent rock music. Nothing offensive and great for all kinds of people to play.

I can't think of any game that's like JSRF.

And if you did okay on that game then you're better than you think are - I don't think that game is easy at all.

While there may not be any games like JSRF there are some games that share some similarities that I think you'd like. Like CK said, there are those rhythm-and-timing games. Of which Guitar Hero is another one - you've seen the demos in stores (like at Circuit City and Best Buy), yes?

And you might like the SSX games (SSX Tricky or SSX 3). They're snowboarding/driving games, but they're easy to pick up on... yet the gameplay and content is deep.

That's all I can think of right now.

SSX Tricky was such a good game, I hope to see a true next-gen sequel sometime. That was EA Sports Big, right?

Man, I just went to see what JSRF was, and now I'm buying it.

JSRF was by far my favorite xbox game. Follow up on the greatness that was Jet Grind Radio for Dreamcast.

Yes, go buy JSRF CK. Great game! Can't believe you never played it. I believe my XBOX even came with a copy (that and a Sega racing title I never played).

JSRF: There were times when I was want to call the camera the worst in all of videogamedom... but, yes, otherwise a great game. Though I haven't finished it. It's a pretty lengthy game; I'm closing in on the 30-hour mark. Of course, I did get derailed for the longest time - not knowing where I was supposed to go next. I play a little bit of it every year... usually until I get sick of the songs.
