Was I the only one here to get this title?

Anyway, so far, the game is fun. I've only finished about four races so far. The first one is one where you pick any vehicle, but the other three were event-specific. The Big Rig isn't as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, it was kind of boring. As soon as I got into first place, I pretty much stayed there. The track had to have something to do with it (a bit easy, probably for gamers to get a feel of driving the rig), or the fact that the other racers were either rigs themselves or dune buggies. The racing trucks seemed to be the worst so far. They feel too fragile and don't handle as well, not even as well as the rigs. The music goes well with the game, and either mud or sand gets thrown at the screen when driving at times. Of course, I use the far view, but stuff still gets slung to the screen.

There's an option for tilt functions for the game where you can control the game with tilting and stuff, but I'm using the analog stick as of now. Seems like some of these upcoming games should also give the gamer the option of using tilt or analog stick.

I also picked it up RBH but haven't played it much yet. It came out the same day as GRAW2 which I plan to play first while I'm still catching up on the other games released the last couple weeks (Crackdown, NBA Stree Homecourt, Virtua Fighter 5).

So, it's a lot better than the demo?

It's a title I would have picked up if I had a Ps3. Most of the dirt this game is getting is because it didn't come close to the bar set by the hype, but from what I've played its a lot of fun and is a nice graphical show-off for the system.

Now that you say that, it clicks for me what this game reminds me of, except it was water getting splashed on the screen: the Gamecube launch title "Wave Race." I know some people might take that as an insult, but I mean it as a compliment. Both titles show off cutting edge graphics and physics, and both share similar criticisms.

I look these kind of arcade-like racing games that are over the top and unrealistic.

I thought about GRAW 2 for a second, since Circuit City had a sale on it. I decided to keep an eye on Armored Core 4 instead.

I want to say yeah, but I spend about 10 seconds on the demo. I really just wanted to see what the game looked like.

Yeah, that old hype. I'm glad I avoid hype on games these days, or I wouldn't be able to enjoy anything. I'd be pouting back and forth in System Wars instead.

I just rented it last night and I've been playing it like crazy. I'm hosting a game with some of the E-mpire boys tomorrow at around 7pm EST. But I'm up for some racing all day. drop me a PM or message me on PSN.

I've played both the Demo and final versions. There are quite a few new graphical upgrades. Like improved reflecions, Partical effects and even things like vehicular debris (very distinguished) like struts and shocs bumbers and the occasional door. Textures are bumped up a few notches and the ground now has wet dirt tracks that are very nice visually (Normal Mapping) but a pain to get caught in. This game is a blast. It takes a little to get used to but once you get the hang of it you'll be hooked. I have to admit it doesn't quite live up to the '05 trailer but when you are driving in first person mode it looks almost identical in many ways.

I picked up Motorstorm too. Haven't had a chance to play it much yet, but it looks like it would be really fun to play online. I'm also planning to pick up GRAW2. That will be the game to get me back on Live. I can't remember the last time I played online. I remember we had Glockstar, Daman, Darwin, and a couple other VGR guys playing GRAW together. That was the last time I went online. Anyways, if you guys ever plan on going online with Motorstorm or any other games, let me know.

This seems to be the story of the PS3's life....

Did anyone who has the game download the Time Attack, Time Trial, or whatever it's called? Did you get it to work?

I did, but couldn't get it to work. I couldn't even get the game to work. Blank screen after the "Playstation 3" logo. I ended up deleting my save data and the other data (not sure which one it saved to, but didn't matter, since I wasn't far in the game anyway).

One good thing came out of it all. Motorstorm is getting back into my rotation.

You need to update to version 1.2 first within the game. Then download Time Attack from PSN.

Oh. I thought I did that. Thanks for the tip.

I may attempt it again, or I may just wait until there's some new tracks or vehicles.
