So what are you most stoked about for Wii in 2007?
I think for me it might be No More Heroes from the maker of Killer 7: http://media.wii.ign.com/media/827/827358/vids_1.html
If anyone thinks the 2006 Wii launch frenzy was the beginning and end of a fad. . . they are purely delusional. Just the big titles alone are daunting: Metroid Prime Corruption, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Disaster: Day of Crisis. . . .
And it's weird to be looking so forward to EA titles again. . . Tiger Woods should be a perfect fit for the Wii and a big appeal to the mainstream. And SSX Blur, which is right around the corner. . . am I the only one looking forward to this game? I think it will probably be a blast. As Last Word might say, "It will make Snow Boarding Breathe Fresh Air."

No More Heroes is definitely high on my list as well as Metroid Prime Corruption. Same with SBB, SMG, and Disaster...
Additionally, Project HAMMER looks like it could be fun too. Dragon Quest Swords could be neat as well.
I've been trying to by the Wii for a week now. I'll stop by Circuit City when the doors open Saturday and get one if it's in stock. This is ridiculous.

I'm in the same boat as Aku and hope to simply secure a Wii in 2007. Of course doing so has been more challenging than I ever imagined it would be.

Baja Bob can take a vacation down in Cabo while I'm playing Twilight Princess!
Yeah Fivespot, I think I can grab one if I pick my spot and just hit some of the local sellers when they open their doors. You would think that by now the initial flood would have subsided and demand would go back to normal levels. Or maybe they just aren't distributing an adequate number of units in order to keep demand artificially high.
I am definately looking forward to Mario and Super Smash Brothers. I never thought that I would say that again, but with the new control scheme they feel fresh again(sounds like a douche commercial). I think that you mentioned Tiger Woods. I am so psyched for that one that I preordered it the other day along with Guitar Hero 2 and Crackdown for the 360. The other thing that I am looking forward to for the Wii is actually finishing Zelda. That game is just ridiculously long. I just hit my 30th hour, and for my gaming habits, that is saying an awful lot.

I've been taking Zelda very slowly and deliberately - I just cracked hour 70 last weekend in fact. I could actually win the game in a few more hours, but I've decided to go back and try to find every single heart, poe, and item in the game. Looking for that 100% completion rate.
One thing I've found myself doing is spending hours at a time fishing - I've never played any fishing sim that has captured the feel of fishing like Zelda has, it's crazy.

Realistically I will probably not beat the thing for a couple more months, and it will not be anywhere near the 100% completion rate. My goal is to get it in shouting range before Crackdown comes out in a month, and them beat it before Guitar Hero in 2 months. I have a sneaking suspicion that Guitar Hero will consume all of my time once it lands.

Like Five and Aku, I'm on the search, but no dice forever here in NM.
As for games, I'm looking foward to Super Paper Mario, Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Metroid Prime Corruption, and the one that Gad mentioned. I also still will buy Zelda, Trauma Center, and Excite Truck whenever I do score a Wii.
And speaking of Guitar Hero...
... for you guys that have played the Wii, do think the sensitivity is good enough on both of the control parts(chuck and wand) to make a solid game based on drumming?

Guitar Hero 2 is freaking awesome.
I'm at about 60 hours on Zelda. I never do 100% completion on any game; I will not find all heart containers or bugs. I don't know how close to finished I am. I only have one more piece of the mirror to get, but for all I know there's something else after that.

I have never even tried Guitar Hero, so I really can't wait for that one. I am really banking that Guitar Hero is the one that finally pushes my wife over the edge. She was getting into Wii Sports for a short while but it fizzled out. I am crossing my fingers because she loves playing air guitar while in the party state. Bring it on!
Btw--I might as well go really off topic but there is something that I have been meaning to ask you. Have you checked out the New Pornographers? If not you owe it to yourself....

Buy two guitars then; I haven't gotten to try the two player mode, but I bet it is a complete blast. I played multiplayer with the Donkey Kong drumming game and that was extremely addictive, great party game, but for GH, its actually hard enough the casual gamers I know just can't do it. . .its a game that takes a bit of investment of time and practice. If you can get your wife into GH2 on 360, you guys are going to have about as much fun gaming as is possible.
Haven't heard New Pornographers. Some band called Deerhoof seems to be what everyone is talking about here this week, but I haven't heard them yet either. Musically, I've got a new friend who's been turning me onto to a bunch of cool old 60's stuff I'd never heard, like Serge Gainesburg. I'll check out New Pornographers. It's a great name, at the very least.

If you check out the New Pornographers get their middle CD of three, the Electric Version, then work into the other two. They kind of remind of the Pixies since they have a male and female singer, and their stuff is a little on the pop-like and strange side. They also remind me a little of the Crash Test Dummies(remember them?), and believe it or not, really early Who or Byrds. As you can tell they definately have their own "thing".
