Wii`s browser is up today. Weather channel is on too. Thought I`d swing by VGR & make the first Wii-post. Very cool extra functionality.

And btw, Zelda completely rules. If you don't have a Wii yet or aren't trying to get one...you are a LOSER!

Quick question about Zelda. Is it better than Okami? Because that particular game is one of the best of it's kind, and I'm having trouble believing even the latest and greatest of the Zelda franchise could top it.

Quick question about Zelda. Is it better than Okami? Because that particular game is one of the best of it's kind, and I'm having trouble believing even the latest and greatest of the Zelda franchise could top it.

I absolutely loved Okami, and there are some ways in which it tops Zelda. I found the mythic story line to be a a real breath of fresh air in the world of games. The art style was profoundly original. Also, I thought all the side characters were extremely memorable, and well. . . .that's about it. The biggest problem with Okami was that it was so damned easy I never needed to buy or use any items.

Zelda tops it in ways that are really more important. Size of world to explore, over-all production values, deeper combat. . .and while so far I haven't found the story to be better than Okami, at least it isn't "the princess is in trouble, go rescue her." I'm far more blown away by Twilight Princess than I thought possible. . . especially after I played Okami, I figured a dose of Adventure that good would have taken some of the dazzle out of Zelda for me, but it hasn't at all.

Trebor gave me the great idea to check out youtube on the Wii. Definitely interesting. But then, that of course gave me the idea to find some porn, videos, pics etcetera, just for the sheer joy of using a nintendo product for such a degenerate purpose.

First, stuff looks good on a large screen like that. And after you've seen an asian school girl getting milked on your Wii, I don't think it's accurate to call it a "kittie" system anymore :D

Is it TMI to mention that it really isn't difficult to use the wiimote with your left hand?

I was actually wondering if there was some anti-porn firewall that was secretly built into the Wii Opera browser - I guess Gad took all the guesswork out of that one :D Although, the thought of Nintendo tracking my online habits is kinda freaky.

Obviously nothing beats a standard computer for web surfing, but for what it is, it's pretty damn cool. YouTube alone adds insane amounts of entertainment. I don't think I would have the patience to make a lot of posts in any forum, but for checking hotmail and the latest game (geek) news, it's pretty slick.

Oh, and one thing I thought of that is pretty sweet, I'm going to make sure that I have Gamefaqs saved as one of my favorites. I've always hated if I get stuck in a game that I would have to boot up my computer to go there, but now I can simply save out of my game and check it in the built in browser. Very cool.

When I'm stuck I use my phone to look up where to go! That or my PC is just next to me anywyay. If I'm stuck in a PC game I just ALT-Tab to Firefox/Opera and look up GFaqs.
