The Wii Forecast Channel is now available. It's a pretty slick little way to check the weather. . .especially since I turn on the TV for the Wii more than I turn it on to actually watch TV. It shows a four five day forecast, and it does have "current conditions" but they lag a little behind. . . which doesn't matter that much. I can look out the window to see the actual current conditions.

One cool thing it does is let you zoom in and out. It starts at your location, but you can drag and rotate the planet, either zoomed in or out. You really have to see it. It's reminiscent of Google Earth, but with that signature Nintendo charm.

Something else I noticed today is that at Nintendo.com, when you login into your member account (and if you are a nintendo system owner you should have one) that any virtual console game you buy is already automatically registered under your list of registered Nintedo products. FYI: Registering your Wii extends the warranty an additional 90 days.

I'm a big believer in registering my stuff with this company. Aside from freebies, I think its a big reason why they fixed my GC for free when it broke, even though the warranty was expired. They had proof of what a loyal nintendo whore I am.
