Well, it's not as if Sony is responsible for either Okami or FFXII, so I guess I don't get why our favorite Sony PR plant is even bothering to post this drivel.
Actually they are, indirectly. If you read the last interview with the guy who's head of Clover Studios he says that although he's sad that the studio's being closed down, Sony gave him total creative freedom - something that MS and Ninendo (to a lesser extent) wouldn't do. Due to the poularity of the PS brand, he appreciates that Sony can afford to let artists/developers do stuff like ICO, Colossus and Okami. ICO was a financial flop yet Sony let them try again with SOTC simply because they like to believe that good games, commercial or not, will find an audience. And SOTC did. While we might see something like Okami on a Nintendo machine, we'd never see anything like it on the 360.
As for Square, Sony owns 42% of the company. That's why you'll neve see a true Final Fantasy title on any other platform other than Playstation. Cube, Wii, DS, will get the spinoffs like Crystal Chronicles or remakes. The only reason MS got FF XI was because Sony thought they could some make money off of MS's online addicts.
True; Capcom is doing amazing work on 360, and Square-Enix is moving a lot of stuff on the DS.
Dead Rising is interesting and fun but I'd hardly call it amazing. It's just Dynasty Warriors with some GTA elements thrown in. C'mon, Gaddy, You know as well as I do that the 360 would never get anything like Okami. Capcom and the other 3rd parties know that games like Okami, Ico, Viewtiful Joe, Odama, Collosus, Rez, etc., would never sell to the guns, Mountain Dew, bouncing boobs crowd.

You're acting as if Sony owned Clover Studios - they didn't.

If that's the case, then why is Dragon Quest IX going to a Nintendo platform, huh? Dragon Quest is an even MORE important franchise in Japan, FYI. Hell, whenever it gets released it's practically a Japanese holiday. DQIX is a license to sell hardware for all intents and purposes, which BOTH the PS3 and PSP will need.
In fact, why is Square Enix heavily supporting the DS at all? You would think that if Sony had any authority at Squenix, they would dictate that the PSP got all the love.

Yeah, that's a NO on you ever touching this game, and maybe even ever seeing it in action. Dead Rising is truly a next-gen game, with next-gen visuals(doesn't mean graphically), next-gen gameplay, solid story(IMO), and an all-around original game. GTA doesn't have traditional bosses. Plus, I used a gun probably three times in the whole game. Nothing like it on any other system.
There are 0 DW elements in this game. There isn't one weapon that can do more than a 3-hit combo, and most weapons are a single-swing/attack type of deal.
Here's a lit of weapons to show where the gameplay really stands. In the game, each item is used like it's supposed to be.Bowling balls bowl. Mowers mow. Shears chop things into bits. Everything can and will be thrown.

So to sum up, I still refer to this game as the Symphony of the Night with Zombies, in 3-D.
Comparisons to GTA are so played out these days.
I dunno. Okami bored me. It's not a character driven game, which always is a big minus for me. I will probably get back to it later but so far I'm having trouble getting into it when I have better things to play. I agree. Even when I try to get back into this game, I always just drift away out of non-amusement and play something else.
