How strong is the Wii strap?

Due to the overwhelming news stories of people hurting themselves cuz retards can afford consoles. This editor tries to 'scientifically' put the Wii strap under many tests and at one point finds it even could hold more than 25lbs.

I don't think the strap itself wouldn't really be the issue. It's the little connector, and a test would have to include the stress of motion as opposed to static weight. But nonetheless, I think people are just out of control (or retards) but that just attests to how fun the Wii actually is. I got to play it for several hours over the weekend and it's the ultimate party machine. My wife actually wants one, which shocked the hell out of me.
