Now, firstly, I do NOT have a 360 at this time...but judging from next year's lineup, I won't be able to help myself from picking one up. Seriously folks, Mass Effect...head over to gametrailers.com and you can now watch the X06 trailer and it's frikkin mindblowing! Next...you've got Alan Wake. From Remedy, the Max Payne team...and it looks even weirder. Then, finally, BIOSHOCK. Need I say more? Of course, there's gonna be Halo 3 and many others but the aforementioned killer 3 more than convince me I NEED a 360.

Yeah, it's awesome. If you had a 360, you could download all of those videos you mentioned and more like Dark Sector, Fable 2, Stranglehold, Lost Odyssey, Lost Planet, the E3 video of Mass Effect, The Darkness, Forza 2, and Halo Wars, all to watch on your own TV in high-def..

Well, I'll miss out on Mass Effect but I can still get the other 2 of the "Killer 3" and that's good enough, especially since I'm not very likely to like Mass Effect given its pedigree.

Those games are going to be huge. Not even counting Def Jam:ICON, Assassin's Creed, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Resident Evil 5;etc The 360 will indeed have alot of great titles available in 2007. Plus the rumors of MGS 4:Guns of The Patriot making its way to the 360 is still buzzing as well. I cant wait to buy my 360 in April.

Kojima already said he's not porting MGS4 onto the 360, so don't get your hopes up.
I do agree that the 360 has some great games coming down the pipeline, and if I weren't so dead-set on buying a PS3 I would probably pick up a 360. I might pick one up in a few years' time when there's a price cut and it's pretty much bargain-bin material. Other than that, while the games are nice, they're nothing to get bent out of shape over.

Yes he did say that ilnadmy. However, when its all said and done regardless of how Hideo feels its up to Konami to tell him whether or not a port of MGS4 will in fact be done for the 360. The thing thats going to make the race between the 360 and the PS3 so tight is the fact that there arent going to many major exclusives between the two.

The only games for the 360 down the pipe that I will probably want and can't get on the PC are RE5, Lost Planet (or whatever it was called) and Assassin's Creed. GOW I am not particularly interested in now though if it comes out on PC I will probably want it, as I'll have mouse control on it then. For existing games I am interested in Dead Rising, hmm, pretty much that's it. Oh and Beach Volleyball 2.
All in all, nothing yet to prompt me to buy a 360. I do really want Assassin's Creed, but I will probably get it on PS3 in due time. In the end, my purchase decision will probably be influenced with how quickly they can mod the 360 vs. the PS3, and which one will flourish here locally. The thing with the PS3 is that it is far more "pirate proof" than the 360.

What would make it more pirate-proof?

The 360? Media other than DVD.
The reason PS3 is tougher to pirate is due to it being on Blueray. And mind you... I am sure this was a major factor in Sony pushing for Bluray in the PS3, and not just "getting it into your living room."

Actually Mochan, Assassin's Creed is coming to PC. There's an article about it in the new PC gamer on page 106. So I guess one less reason to make a conversion. I'm enjoying that Fable game from the xbox quite a bit right now actually.

Fable on the PC was nice, except for some traces of consolitis (interface was clearly for consoles and didn't really get fixed up). But the graphics on the PC version are far and away better than what they were on the box. The control scheme wasn't as good though, I tried putting it on a gamepad but there were issues to it that didn't translate properly thanks to no inherent gamepad support for the game (which I found extremely baffling). I usually prefer playing 3rd person games on gamepad.
Well I knew Assassin's Creed would eventually make its way to the PC (expected) so I'm not surprised.
