Bloomberg just released how far below the 400,000 target Ps3 actually was:

November NPD data: 197,000 Ps3 units sold to Wii's 476,000.

If I remember correctly, there are areas that NPD does not cover but Sony shipped to.

Finally the numbers are in. Apparently Sony didnt hit the numbers they expected to do. Proof in the pudding with a link to back it up. Anytime any of you Sony milk drinkers want to jump in and scream foul be my guess. Where is Zilla Man when you need him huh? :D

The Wii is outselling the PS3? :yesnod:

Cant help but love this.

The PS2 is still carrying SCEA for now. It'll be interesting to see whether it manages to become top dog again in December.

That would be yet another console taking the thunder away from the PS3.:D

That makes it even worse. This is the reason why Sony should've pulled the plug on the PS2 in order for gamers to have to turn to the PS3 alot faster. I mean at this point the games that people want right now can be played on the PS2. With God Of War 2 coming out in two months for the PS2 who needs a PS3 for games right now?

See that's the difference between Sony and MS. Sony supports their older consoles, because they DON'T FORCE PEOPLE TO SHELL OUT THE BIG BUCKS TO BUY THE NEWER CONSOLES. MS has no such decency towards its paying customers. That's why I'm sticking with Sony while you follow MS around with your checkbook in one hand and a pooper scooper in the other.

Yes, that's the case every month.

If you're curious, Sony rolled out a whopping 88,000 Ps3's for its Japanese "launch."

And through all that said you never once acknowledged what I brought up. Selective memory huh? Yep. Sony supports things huh? How about those hard drives from a year ago?( A pooper scooper moment) And then they bring out the PS3 with yet another Hard drive that we have to pay for? Hmm... But thats another story.

This is a weak argument here. In order for the new kid on the block to excel the older model must fall. Xbox owners can still play Xbox live until they get a 360.The PS2 currently has better games on its current 4-6 month roster than the PS3 does. This is why Sony needs to let the PS2 die.Because the PS3 is hard to develop for and the fanbase for the PS2 is already established.

At the way things are going more people that cant get their hands on a PS3 will be gettin Wii's and 360's anyway. Hell You can buy a Wii and a 360 and pay damn near less than you would buying a PS3 with all the tremmings. So am I mad about MS leaving the Xbox to concentrate on the future sucess of the 360? No way! With so many great games on the horizon who's got time to be upset about the Xbox running it course? Not me. Xbox owners still got Xbox live.

Well for the first time in 11 years Nintendo is beating Sony in the console market. :)

The one million dollar question on everyone's mind, is Sony's production capacity capable of making a come back? Possibly, but they're in a worse predicament than when they launched the PS2. If they can, then there's one ace up Sony's sleeve, and that is the large number of big-name titles they have lined up for release next year. PS3 sales will really hit their stride once those games enter the scene.

To add even further perspective on just how pathetic the ps3 launch has been, the tie ratio is 1.1. Total ps3 game sales managed to crack 215k for the month of november, led by Resistance with 65k. By contrast COD2 on the 360 sold 250k in november last year. In other words COD2 outsold the entire ps3 launch library all by itself. That's just frickin sad. And sony is happy with this launch?!
