A while back someone posted PS3 pics of fight night. That were supposedly showing the PS3's superiority well the review is in and apparently it doesn't top the Xbox version 9 months later on "superior hardware" but I can see already that it's all EA's fault. Despite the fact that EA chicago has put out nothing but quality products.

"
Visually, Fight Night sees a few upgrades as well -- but they're so minimal when in motion that its hardly noticeable unless you're actively looking for them (re: the sweat looks more realistic and the lighting has been enhanced). Despite this better appearance, though, the PS3 version of Round 3 does suffer from slowdown (it gets particularly choppy during the close-up replays or fast multi-punch combos) and it has bizarrely-pixilated crowds as well. On the plus side, the amount of spaz-bounce (those random jittery reactions caused by a combination of rope and rag doll physics) has been minimized compared to other versions... but it's still there. Regardless, Round 3 is still a great looking game. Fighter animations, licensed faces, the physiques, and every single one of the fictional and actual areas are extremely well done (the Staples Center is spot on)."

Yeah, where's that thread, with the glorious ps3 pics and the SDF claiming massive ownage?! Whatever. And lo and behold, yet another ps3 multilpat featuring slowdown. Eight freaking processors, booray, the RSX and nine months of additional development time and FNR3 for the ps3 has slowdown. Does Ken know about this? These third parties are making his baby look bad.

You know its bad when you cant even port over an Xbox game to a superior console.

Or maybe this was just one of those rare times when s### happens.Nevertheless the game looks and plays good according to the review. Too bad its like Folken's way of thinking:Just a bit slow.

EA Canada was the one that did this port.

The facts are out, and after a year's delay, after missing one launch, after all the hype, after only having to re-do year old games, the PS3 has not made one of these games better than the 360 did them a year ago. On top of that, most of them are better on the 360. Couple that with the fact that most of the concurrent games like Rainbow6-Vegas, FEAR, SC-DA, had to be pushed back on PS3, boy something stinks! Something is not right with either the performance of the machine or the tools used to make the games. In either case, it is bad news for gamers who buy it.

Obviously if the performance is weaker than 360, then people will once again have to endure a life-cycle of inferior games, lol, even though they paid more for the console. It was kinda okay the PS2 was inferior, even though it was priced the same, at least it wasn't more!

If it is horrible tools and not machine performance, that's better, but still not good. It drives up the costs of development, adds more time to game development. I find it fascinating that GT HD was scrapped, and who knows when GT5 will be ready! That is just amazing and I can almost guarantee there will be something fishy about the "Online Simulator" when it is released! Watch! It will probably lack car damage or people from Japan won't be able to race people from the US, I don't know what, but it will be lacking something.

It is really too soon to tell which machine is clearly superior. At the moment the edge without a doubt goes to the 360. But logic would seem to say the PS3 should be the more capable machine. It just remains to be seen how much horsepower is left, how much power was used by each machine thus far. We will see with games like Lair and Lost Planet, Motorstorm and Bioshock, and of course Halo3 and MGS4. All of these games sound cool, no doubt PS3 has some hot sh*t coming. And even if the games don't exceed or only equal 360's best, they will still be great games. So both consoles will have great games, but still the question in my mind will be why is PS3 so expensive.

The other vital aspect of this is online performance. We know the Sony faithful crave it, by the way they were bragging when they though Sony's network would be equivalent to LIVE. Clearly Sony has a lot of work to do. No unique gamertags across all games, didn't they promise that in their hype, didn't they promise voice chat in all games? These are serious deficiencies, I mean if you can't even chat in games online, what the hell is the point? I couldn't imagine playing a game like GOW or R6 or even just racing with no voice.

Whether or not the PS3 is more powerful, 360 is the better gaming platform, it is simply a better thought out more efficient and convenient product.

Yeah, but the PS3 is heavier! Not only can it launch nuclear missiles, but you can bench press it for some body-building! And when DDR PS3 comes out you'll get the complete physical workout! Xbox 360 will just build your beer belly.

And you're forgetting the most important health risk! One of my friends, when MS launched the 360 last year, preordered one online and got it a week after it was released. Seven months later? BAM! He was tested positive for AIDS.

Coincidence? I think not! Why do you think it's called the "seXbox" in medical circles?
