Somehow I doubt people will be lining up to thank us. Hopefully they'll see that we did listen to them.

You know what Chris? The members who have been, and continue to be, faithful to the site will appreciate it.
We have a lot of good PC and VGR people.
You and I have taken the brunt of a lot of complaints and sometimes verbal abuse. But thankfully the nasty stuff is not from the core of this community :)

I'm open to feedback on this new feature as well. Let me know if it's not working how you think it should, or if we need to implement it better. I can't guarantee that we'll be able to act on all feedback, but I'd like to hear what you have to say.

Okay, I have an immediate suggestion. Instead of the Next 50 link, how about Pages links under each alphabetical category? Page 1 2 3 4, or Show Next 51-100 Next 101-150. This way we can link quickly to the last page of reviews under (for example) "A" in case we're looking for Aztecs on the Moon... Having to click through 50 reviews at a time is needless... especially if we can guestimate where a review would be in numerical page links. I suggest even breaking the review groups into 25 reviews per page.
Just my two cents. Oh yeah, the Search For A Game featiure is still broken.

Hey I'm glad things are improving. Don't be so negative!! I don't know what the site traffic is like, but the forum traffic is increasing every day. Just look at the counter at the bottom of the screen, a new record for "most online" gets set every other day. You have a good site here!
With half a million visitors every month you're going to get some negative feedback over any change at all. Remember that humans are more likely to heap criticism than compliments. But at the end of the day, the message board community is still just as strong--or stronger--as it was a couple months ago.

Can you give me the URL for the page where you clicked on the letter A and received the error (which platform?).
The New ABC feature is good, its nice you take into consideration the views of the users on the site. I was a long time lurker on the old site and checked it out a lot, I was pretty miffed at first with this new format but I have got use to it, and its not that bad really. Some of the feedback has been pretty rude and I do have some sympathy for you Chris and Lara. This is a free site after all, and it is you doing us a bit of a favour with the free site. :D

Well, it's the Search for a Game form box, where you can search for a game after entering a title. I entered once again Age of Wonders, and it came back with nothing found. It had nothing to do with the alpha indexing, I just figured that since you implemented the alpha indexing, then maybe you fixed that as well..

I could be cynical w/reply, having read through numerous disparaging remarks aimed @Admin/Mods, threats to leave this site & odds given on "how long it'll take".
Instead, as a user of reviews, appreciating an easier route to them is appreciated.
Thanks for giving this a priority, considering all the other things on your plate. ;)
PS, just for fun, I'll tally the "thank yous" & compare them to the "up yours".
Any odds on that one?

I find myself agreeing w/you Mael.
Why "lurk"? Come on in & post awhile!

I'd say 4/1 in favor of the "up yours", what's your guess?

Close to same, I'll take those odds to Vegas.
[Thats one bet you wont be hedging, lol!]
