Fans of SNK classics such as King of Fighters would love to see a selection of the firm's classic Neo-Geo titles available to download on Sony's PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade.

We've all seen how well Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting recently did on Xbox Live and the call's already been made for more retro fighters to be released.

Speaking to CVG Soichiro Hosoya, director of SNK game titles, said, "We've discussed an online delivery service for our classic NeoGeo titles through next-gen formats and Sony Computer Entertainment has agreed to our propositions." All good then in the world of PlayStation, though what the games will be and when they'll launch haven yet to be confirmed.

But the firm has yet to hear back from Microsoft about the possibility of the games heading to Xbox Live Arcade. "We've been sending our propositions to Microsoft for a while, but it will depend on their policy for the Xbox Live Arcade," continued Hosoya. "Of course, we wish to launch our NeoGeo titles through Xbox Live Arcade but we cannot tell whether they'll accept our offer or not at present."

Come on Microsoft, wasn't there a story going round recently about how Ken Kutaragi dragging his feet?

The 64 MB Live Arcade limit rears its ugly head yet again. I don't know why that is though since most Demos and Trailer downloads easily exceed 100 MB's. Fix this MS because SNK's library on Sony's PS store would easily give it the advantage over Live Arcade.

What?!?! Oh my god old games on Sony's store???? But now it's going to be the oldies Channel? That's what David Jaffe said anyway.

Jaffe can suck my huevos. *Boo-hoo. Making action games are hard work. I want to do casual now.* Wussard. I do want to play the game he has coming out for Playstation Store that's like a cartoony Twisted Metal though.

But anyways, I don't know how long this limit that MS has set for LA games being so small will last, because they plan on making Symphony of the Night a Live Arcade game, and that wasn't a small-sized game for the PS1.

And I could've swore I read that they were bringing KoF to LA. No wait, that's Fatal Fury. But still isn't that an SNK game?

50 megs. The limit is 50MB.

Now, I don't see anything in that article that suggests the 50MB limit is what's holding the SNK games up. When they say "propositions" I'll bet you money they were talking about some exclusivity deal they offered the two (three? ...you think maybe they propositioned Nintendo too?) companies, or something like that. Or perhaps it was just about a release schedule and pricing. Who knows. But I know that it had anything to do with MS's strict preset policy of a 50MB max-limit. That would be pretty audacious to ask MS to change the rules just for them. And they used the same word - "propositions" - for both services. I just don't know where you got that idea from.(?)

Because that has been the popular story for the past year or so. It makes sense too because SCEA did nothing but block SNK's attempts to release their older series on the PS2 as standalone titles. They had to be part of a collection to get approval from SCEA. Conversely, on Xbox, those games saw release in America without any hindrance from MS. So, why would they now go back to Sony and shut MS out if it wasn't some technical issue like the size limit.

And earlier on in Live Arcade's life, I think an SNK rep said much the same thing.
