Koei Brings Two to Xbox 360
Publisher goes multiplatform on two PS3 titles.
by Anoop Gantayat

November 21, 2006 - Two once PlayStation 3 exclusives aren't so exclusive any more. Koei announced today plans to bring Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm to the Xbox 360.

Fatal Inertia is a futuristic battle racing game developed by Koei Canada. The 360 version will be Xbox Live compatible, allowing for online races for up to four players. A Japanese release is set for Spring 2007.

Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War is an action game where players take charge of a group of dozens of soldiers. The title is also due for Japanese release in Spring 2007.

Both titles were originally thought to be in development exclusively for the PS3. For further details, be sure and check out our IGNPS3 coverage of Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm.

As far as we know, the PS3 versions of both games are still due for release. Fatal Inertia was recently updated in Famitsu Weekly's release list with a February release time frame. Bladestorm is still marked with a TBA date.Bladestorm looks like ass, and will probably play like ass just like the Dynasty Warriors games, unless they make it more like KUF. Fatal Inertia looks pretty sweet.F-Zero meets Pod Racer with weapons.

Fatal Inertia was one of those PS3 games I was 50/50 on. (A distant second to Lair.) But that was before I found out that it was by Koei. (Which, I just found out. :p ) Now I'm hardly interested at all. Wtf does Koei know about futuristic racers?!

Fatal Inertia looks decent, but the fact that the developer themselves (Koei) decided to "Jump in" is good news for M$, more Japanese support. Like I said, they're doin' they're homework.

Fatal Inertia certainly looks beautiful. Whether it ends up being a good futuristic racer or not. . . .I wondered the same thing about it being Koei.

You fools, doing historical simulations hones your psychohistory and lets you accurately predict and model futuristic racers!

LMAO!!! The way its looking there wont be hardly any exclusives on the PS3 before its over. I mean Assassin's Creed started off a PS3 exclusive now its coming to the 360. Now heres two more games coming to the 360. And the rumors about Metal Gear 4 has me buzzing big time!

If MGS4 comes to the 360 you might as well declare this console war the closest race yet. Because just think the Xbox never had a decent Wrestling game since its been around. Now here comes the 360 and lord behold Smackdown(once a Playstation exclusive) is now on the 360 as well as the PS2.

Thats progress considering that videogame developers are concentrating more on making money than trying to be stuck up Sony's arse trying to be extremely loyal by only making more exclusives for them. The same can definately be said about Hideo Kojima on MGS4 right now. Rumors about Konami forcing his hand to make a MGS4 port for the 360 has been going strong for awhile now.

Before the PS3 reaches its first year Sony milk drinkers and worshippers around the world will be holding their breaths wondering what quote on quote"exclusives" will be getting ported to the 360.:p
