Wow, I just came back over hour 1 1/2 ago from Best Buy in Southern California Location. The Best still had 4 available Wii. I guess Wii is not selling as well on release day. The salesperson said, some store sold out quickly and others are not selling quickly. One employee said, they sold more Xbox 360 today than Wii.

Wii are not impressed. Wii is a disappointment. Wii are all just hype.

LOL. Why don't you just say you spit on the house of Nintendo and you'd like to rape its women and kids?

Wii sold well enough imo. Not as crazy as PS3 of course, but it did decent.

The Target near me had 51 Wii's and sold out. My Wal-Mart sold out. And the Gamecrazy I pre-ordered from sold out.

Just because Sony only gave out about 10 PS3 per location and caused their own shortage and Nintendo was able to ship enough Wii's necessary to meet demand means the Wii is selling like CRAP??????

Just idiotic logic.

I do love the people who run on endlessly about console selling out/not selling out of stores, without giving a thought to how many consoles were shipped in the first place.

Plenty of Wii was shipped while Sony produced about six PS3s. The latter is obviously going to be a lot harder to find, regardless of their popularity.

Only reason people are buying Wii because there no PS3 available. Lots people bought xbox, xbox 360 and PS2 too due to the PS3 shortage. Wii just happen to be the newest kids toy. After a few months or by end of the year, those sold Wii will be dusty sitting in the corner.

If there was enough PS3, most of the Wii will not be selling at all. It will be selling slowly.

Wii will be like those Fruit Cakes that get circulated as undesired gifts dump upon other people. You will see a flood of Wiis on Ebay after Xmas. People will be trying to get rid of it and losing money unlike PS3 and Xbox360.

You can probably buy one for $150.00 pre-owned in 2007 easily, even less.

Not as crazy as Ps3? What planet do you live in? Did you actually get out of the house and see the lines? Ps3 didn't even actually have a launch; 150,000 systems for a nation of 300 Milion people is not a launch, it's test marketing.

And Gamer Today. . . could you pick me up one of those Wii's that are sitting abundant on the shelves? I'll give you an extra fifty bucks. Seriously. 'Cause stores had hundreds of Wii's on hand where I live and still sold the hell out.

That actually isn't what I meant.

There's no people shooting others for a Wii, was there?

Ditto. I didn't preorder and didn't want to stand in line...and now I'm regretting it. Out of the six stores I visited (which included a Best Buy), none of them had a single Wii on the shelves.

Probably because most people that wanted a Wii got one, whereas only 150,000 people got a PS3. Sony should've waited til they had more to offer rather than rush it out and piss a whole bunch of people off just so they could claim they sold their entire stock on launch day.

To be honest, I don't think these violent people wanted a PS3 to play anyway. They wanted one to sell.

Actually there are plenty of PS3s availabe - ON EBAY. HA!

That's pretty impressive when the majority of people that bought PS3s only did so with the intention of immediately selling it on EBAY in hopes of making a big profit. How pathetic is that? Bunch of people taking advantage of poor little pathetic turds like GamerToday, who beg mommy and daddy to spend $3000+ on eBay to get their precious toy.

At least when the Wiis sellout, the majority of people are buying it because they actually want it as opposed to wanting to sell it on eBay. I think that says a lot more about popularity then selling out an incredibly pathetic amount of "launch" units.

This thread scores .5 out of 100.

Check Ebay yourself. There are plenty of wii on sale there also.

If you search for "wii" (27691 results) is more than what you would get for searching "ps3" (16915 results).

Now the question is which is more pathetic? Getting in line and sell a Wii for 200 bucks profit or sell a PS3 for 2000 bucks profit?

This is from games industry biz.

At Best Buy, a large crowd had gathered by 7am on Sunday. The Toronto Star reported that many of those in the local area who bought a PlayStation 3 were reselling the console to pay off the cost of a Wii, but GamesIndustry.biz did not find anyone in the queue with that story to tell. Nor did we find a single person planning to sell their new Nintendo console.

At the head of the queue was a high school student who said, "We’ve been asking people as they come up if they’re keeping it, and only a very, very small percentage of people have said they’re eBaying it. Almost everyone is keeping it. It’s quite a difference."

At this point, you have to wonder who exactly cares about the ps3, period. Yeah, it sold out its pathetic allocations, to a bunch of ugly parasites who hired bums and school kids to camp out days in advance so they could sell to morons who will pay ridiculous premiums just to be the first on their block to guy, "Oh, look, I got me a ps3." But, at the end of day, sony sees no money off ebay sales. They just get a lot cheap publilcity and that's what the ps3 launch wound up being. Just a nationwide publicity stunt.

Nintendo, however, didn't come close to putting out a million units for launch. My local futureshop received just 63 units. Hell, they got 100 360s last year. Local best buy got 54 units. We'll see how quickly they can restock. My money's on Nintendo restocking a hell of a lot quicker than those chumps at phony.
