Go to either Gamespot, Planet Elderscrolls or if you don't want to register just look up a fanmade site dedicated to the mods. I can't quite remember the exact mod names but just go to gamespot and simply look at the names of the most popular mods.

hmmmmmm........these are some of my favs

Beneath the wall: A mod the creates Caves underneath the town of Bruma.

Forgotten Tomb: The name is pretty much self explanitory. Just look near the port of anvil for it.

Dimensional Pocket: This mod allows you to access five dimensions to either bed down or store your belongings.

No Fingerprints/Wolfies Cloth: Allows you to use a cloth that you can drop into any chest or barrel and steal whats inside without getting caught and without the loot being labled as stolen.

BT Mod:: Makes you user interface easier and nicer. (Recommended)

Make it Pretty: Basically makes the game even more visually appealing without taxing your machine.

Bag of holding: This little bag will hold everything you pick up without weighing you down. All you do is select the bag and then another screen opens up and you can transfer all your findings into it and never have to do fetch and quest over and over again. this is an amazing money maker to boot.

These are just some of the mods I have currently running while I play. They make the game so much better and fun to play.

There are so many good mods to grab still. "Capes and Cloaks, Deadric Armour, rings, swords and Shields of all different types, streanths and styles. So just get out there and mod the sh*t outta it. oh and don't forget to grab a cool mod that gives you crosshairs while in 3rd person mode.

Enjoy

One of my personal favorites for Oblivion wasn't so much a graphical mod as much as it was an audio one.

I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head, but it was one that replaced all the in game music with music taken from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Very nice, especially when you entered combat but due to copyright issues, I'm not sure if its available now.

There was another Mod that created a 'sentient' weapon. One nice thing about it was that it didn't use the stupid pointer to guide you from point A to B. Just a vague direction like 'somewhere south of Buma'.. took me quite a bit of searching to find even the 1st component.
