Yakuza!!!!!

Five hours in and it seems like a fairly deep beat em' up. The story is entertaining if you like Mafia type stuff. Camera needs a lot of work. They should have included a lock on button and put static camera angles in some fight sequences. Other then that, it's not bad although that one problem nearly breaks a game that is mostly about fighting. Overall, it deserves the high seventies, mid eighties scores its been getting.

I seriously considered this game until I played the demo. The fighting just didn't move me. I like the multiple opponents, but I guess it was more of the moves that made the game feel average as far as beat 'em ups. I know there's more moves to unlock, but I just wasn't confident the othe rmoves and techniques would be enough to keep my interest.

I think this is one of those games where if it came out between May-July, I would have forgiven the fighting and tried it anyway.

I broke down and bought this game, since even though it's gotten mixed reviews, the demo was still better than what Beat Down or Final Fight seemed to offer. I haven't played it yet, so I'll give impressions later.
