I just read a little more about this. I was stoked from playing that one level, but I had no idea you had a house you can fill with over 150 collectibles from the Mui Mui's, 40 stages, 3 mini games, and some other crap.
I already know the gameplay rules. I can't wait to see the rest of what this game has to offer. I've always felt slightly ambivalent about my PsP purchase: finally, it really feels justified.

I've read that the demo level doesn't even come close to preparing you for what the full game has to offer.
All I know is I can't wait.

I finally updated to 2.8 myself. The PSP is starting to justify itself without the need of emulators, and finally has some interesting games to look forward to. And anyway, I figure that if I want to play all my old console games beyond the computer, I can just get a GP2X for about $130 and do it without the hassle Sony puts the homebrew scene through.
But anyway, Loco Roco is gonna be mine within the hour. I'll be back soon. :D

If you have a PSP you must buy this game. It is...just...WOOHOO!

Oh god, this game has the best soundtrack EVER!
I dunno what's so cool about it. It has almost hyponotic quality to it that's hard to describe, specially once you get the pink loco rocos that sound vaguely like sultry cabana girls singing with French accents. Along with the surreal feel of the game, it's almost enough to make you space out completely.
Awesome game here...it's almost worth buying a PSP for.

This is a first rate game. . . I'd almost wager it's destined to be a classic. The game play is just that good, that original, the art design, the physics of the blobs and the stages. This, to me, is what gaming is all about, the kind of thing I'm always looking for and that usually has me cheerleading about Nintendo the last couple years.
But Loco Roco can go toe to toe with the best of what's on the DS, and because of the widescreen graphics and sound, in many ways it exceeds. . . certainly it surpasses its most similar cousin, Kirby's Kanvas Kurse. This is also one of the few PsP games to not only sport originality, but also distill the essence of handheld gaming and play to the strengths of the PsP hardware.
I'm having a BLAST. If you own a PsP, unless you are some mutated curmudgeon who can't stomach anything that isn't blood and guts, get it now (No offense Glock, but I figure you're ok with the "mutated curmudgeon" thing anyway. :) )

Hey, I was this close to buying it myself this past week. But I opted for Condemned instead. (I had to take advantage of a sale price.)

Heh... the mutated curmudgeon thing, yes.
But I hope you guys don't seriously think that I'm into blood and guts and that's it. Not that I really give crap about what you guys think about me, it's just that that would be terribly innaccurate and that there would have to have been several miscommunications over these past several years. :(

We know you hate really chirpy and surreal Japanese stuff. And Loco Roco is a really chirpy and surreal Japanese game.
Kind of a 2 & 2 equals 4 situation. But still...buy it anyway and play it with the sound off if you have to.

I picked it up yesterday, and as a general rule I dislike anything resembling platforming, but man, this game is pure addiction. Like Gaddy says, it's destined to become a classic. The subtlety of design is unreal. It would have to be reworked from scratch to be playable on a standard 4:3 display. God, the physics engine...sliding around in the first 'icy' stage...those damned black spikey things...the hidden areas...
I too like the audio, tho I did not for the first 10 minutes. Yes, if you have a PSP, you must buy this game.

Yeah, that $#!% makes my skin crawl. However, the gameplay looks really good, and looks like exactly what I want to play on my PSP right now. I'm interested in the game for my own reasons, and while I appreciate y'alls... enthusism... for the game, your hype does nothing for me either way.
Anyways, despite my intolerance of the annoying, I think I could put up with Loco Roco's sound because the PSP's speakers just about automatically make it a moot point: they suck; I can't hear jack without the headphones on.

The only problem with paying without headphones is you'll miss the cues the Roco's give to point you towards secrets and warn you there's an enemy just offscreen.
Still, I think the music would grow on even you if you let it. Just give it all a chance...except for the "gigantic creature" levels, which annoys even me.
But anyway, for all of you that have the game, how many levels have you managed to find all the secrets in? I've got all of World 1 done so far, with bits and pieces in all the other worlds.

Nah, it's just that many of us seem to have a humorous stereotype, and I just see you in Raze's Hell destroying all japanese cuteness, despite knowing you are into the jrpg Ogre Battle, and dug Pikmin for awhile.
And Gadfly the Love Yuppie (as I think it was Drunk Ass Butt Master who so dubbed me) loves his occasional blood and guts. The stereotypes are funny though.
