View Full Version : I can't post a review because of my username...

But I can't change my username because of my e-mail address.

-sigh-

My username is Archmage1.1. I had changed it on the old site because Archmage1 wasn't working correctly. Now, because there's a dot or period in there, I can't post my review for Undying. The fate of the free world may depend on that review being posted.

I want to change my username. But it says something to the effect of there already being one username at my e-mail address.

I know why that rule is in effect and I don't blame you guys but what's the solution to my problem?

I'll contact Chris the beginning of the week and see what we can do for you. Sorry about the problem :(

[BTW,I really enjoyed Undying, hope you did too.]

Actually, ET, I think it's a very good game with a couple of very serious flaws. Overall, a 4 out of 5.

No problem. I've got the review saved. Now, I'll start on Deus Ex. Another game, I've never played. Then it's on to Madden 2004.

No kidding, I hope to think you'll enjoy Deus Ex, likely you've been exposed to game content via reviews etc. I envy you [due to Deus Ex being my fav game to date], having Deus Ex original in front of you, Deus Ex2 soon to be released;) .

re: Undying, I thought the game underated. While nothing earth shattering in content, a great story line & some thrilling moments.
[IMO, 4 out of 5 is justified].

Well, I am VERY impressed so far. Too bad the enemy AI is so bad. But the game seems difficult enough as is without really smart baddies to worry about as well.

ET, my huge complaint with the game was that every time I died, quite often I assure you, the game autoloads it's last autosave rather than my last quicksave or regular save. Seems minor but as a result I had to load a saved game TWICE every time I died. At 15-20 seconds a load that adds u[p quickly, especially with boss battles.

Can you give me the error message you receive when trying to post a review?

Error:
Username may only contain letters and numbers.

I also inadvertently just discovered another minor problem. Apparently hours played is a required field. All the other required fields are highlighted in red. That one isn't.

Should be fixed now.

Thanks, Chris. I haven't tested it yet but I will. Rest assured if the whining ceases from my general vicinity, it's because it worked...

BTW, I'd like to say that I cringe everytime I go in the site feedback area. You, Chris, and ET showed considerable restraint and grace under pressure handling things in there as well as you did. I didn't like the site initially but I like it more every day...

I think people always have a hard time adjusting to change. They'll come around...

Interesting review Archmage1, good read too.

Agree w/Dragon Frost head [lol].
Re: die/auto load; System Shock 2 does same thing [frustrating yes, its makes ya react real quick to beat the auto reload].

Good points brought up on opportunitys missed out on in plot. I was enjoying the game so much [getting the devil scared out of me] I over looked these & other points of "critics" you realized. ;)

Still, Undying was a good underated game IMO.
