Well, I'm just wanting some peoples' advice on what PC game I should buy.

The kind of games I like are strategy, roleplay, action and adventure and shooter games.

I have BF2 and C&C Generals: Zero Hour.

I was just thinking about other games to get, any ideas?

I'll cover the roleplaying. Single player.

If you don't care about graphics and are really into role playing, you shoulc play Baldur's Gate 1 and 2. Also Fallout 1 and 2. These are old games, and are all about stroy and characters and real roleplaying. If you like Baldur's Gate, then also play Planescape Torment. If you like Fallout, also play Arcanum.

If you want hack-and-slash with emphasis on party development, and again don't care about graphics, play Might and Magic 6-7-8. If you want to play an incredibly hard rpg that is all about party development, play Wizardry 8. It's the hardest rpg I've ever played. It's turn-based combat, so expect to be patient.

If you want a sandbox game with tons of exploration, plus endless mods, then Morrowind is your game. I haven't played Oblivion yet, but people will tell you it's along the same line as Morrowind. If you like a hybrid rpg/adventure, then Gothic 1 and 2.

Strategy, I would have to say CivIV or still the creme de la creme, Combat Mission and/or its' sister games. For RTS, pick the viscerally violent, Dawn Of War.

RPG- go for Titan Quest, or the upcoming Dark Messiah - Might And Magic, and the standard fare: Oblivion. For a good mix between RTS/RPG, try Spellforce 2. I'm dying to play NWN2.

Action and adventure? LOL Not my forte on the PC... I generally play the consoles for those types of games (Mario 64, PoP-titles...) . Veritable ones I have played on the PC in the past include Drakkan (SP?), Anachronox, and the notable Syberia/ The Longest Journey.

Shooters? Hmm, nothing has captured my attention much these days, seems pretty much run-of-the-mill-fare. Half-Life 2 was awesome, same with Morrowind.

Enjoy, I'm looking for a new card, but I'll be ready for NWN2 for sure... Oblivion be damned ;)

RTS- I am enjoying Act of War and Dragonshard. Recently I picked up Perimeter as I read it was under rated and I have a thing for the underdogs.

Adventure- Dreamfall-The Longest Journey 2 and I second Syberia. Also if you have not played Grim Fandango it is awesome and my old fav Sanatarium.

RPG- Fable and I have to say I like The Bards Tale but sometimes I like off beat stuff.

Shooters- Boiling Point is a good mix of shooting and rpg. Prey might be good from what I have read. I have not been playing many shooters offline. I have CoD2 and MoH PA to mess with for my army stuff and HL2/expansion and Fear as well.

SBS, why did you stick Morrowind in the shooters category?

For shooters, No One Lives Forever is a classic. If you like Half-Life, then try Undying. For tactical shooters my favorite is the Rainbow Six series. SWAT 3 and 4 are also great.

Well, despite it being a role-playing game, the GUI is so transparent in Morrowind, that it feels more like a sandbox FPS than a roleplaying game... Kinda like Boiling Point I suppose. Still - considering you'll play it from a FP perspective, it's one of the best FP shooters I have played in a long while. So what? You're swingling a sword instead of spitting bullets! ;)
