Okay, what's a game that is generally given bad reviews or that you know is not that great a game, but you enjoyed anyway? C'mon, what are your guilty gaming secrets?
For some reason, I really got a kick out of Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza. The acting was terrible and why you had to shoot 300 bad guys made no sense and the rest of the game was so-so at best. But for whatever reason I played it all the way through and enjoyed the hell out of it. I could see playing through it a second time.
I really liked Oni myself.

It's not really a PC game, but I've always had a soft spot for the Kings Field series. They're always panned by the pro reviewers, yet they still manage to capture people's imaginations and draw in a cult following. I can't really say it's a bad game, though. It's definately different and can be pretty slow at times....probably the reasons why it's never really caught on.

There were quite a few games that got panned by the general public but which I enjoyed. Strangely enough, I can't remember a single one right now.

Summoner was one i really liked although it got mediocre reviews.High heat baseball 99' ii think it was,was rfered to by many the worst baseball game ever made but i really liked it alot.Siege of avalon was another game i really liked but it got mostley average to below average reviews.
I don't know if I'd call it a "bad" game, but I got one of the Backyard Baseball games for my kid one time and played the hell out of it. What a cheesy game, and I would play through an entire season. I loved the kid announcer. "That kid was frozen up there!"
"Z":Steel Soldiers! I cant resist the twisted humor provided by the militant robots high on rocket fuel.

I liked Ironstorm.
The ending made no sense and much of the story was wonky but I liked the game in spite of it's flaws. Plus, I like any game that gives you a sniper rifle and opportunity to use it!!
It also only cost $10.00.
I was also a great fan of Shenmue...

Good call. I'll see your Iron Storm and raise you a Gunman Chronicles.

I love the Myst series, but it seems like no one else cares about it, even moreso on the console side. I really wish they would've made Uru and Myst 5 for the consoles, but no dice. And now, there are no more Myst games. Hiss.

Never got into the Myst series. Just can't stay focused. I thought of another one though: Jumpman. Anyone remember that. That's oldschool. I don't even remember if that was PC.

I liked IronStorm, but the controls were such a pain to reconfigure! If the boards are still up you should check them out some time. So much anger it's almost funny. Still, it was pretty unique.
I have restarted Gunman three or four times, but can never 'get into' it for some reason.

Did I mention that I also enjoyed Kiss: Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child? That game was pretty unfairly panned by critics. I thought it was AWESOME! I had a lot more fun with that than I did with Serious Sam.

Oh man, I remember Oni. That game made me angry in a way that no other game has. My wife actually asked me to stop playing that game.
I think it's because I could see that deep down there was a good game, but it had piles of crap on top of it.
