I quit it already but only because of the sheer amount of cheaters, hackers and exploiters and not to mention the huge unbalances in the game, its open beta right now so its got a huge way to go but promising once they can eliminate all the problems with it. One of the biggest problems with these 'free' to play mmos is that if you want to compete competively, you have to buy there 'special' items which can cost upwards of $20 a time.

Other nasty problems are with the hackers and laggers, reminds me of Gunz: The duel all over again. But at least with Gunz since it is newer, the balance issues are better, at least in gunz you'll not be fighting against someone 5+ levels higher than you, in WarRock at the moment there isn't any level restrictions on the game modes and maps, so you could be fighting someone who is potentially 10+ ranks higher and will have better armor and better weapons all round meaning he could easily one-shot you even without a head shot whilst you could empty an entire M41A clip into him and he'll laugh at you. Head shotting isn't easy unless you're a sniper obviously, even then the realism isn't very good.

In a sense, WarRock wants to be a un-realistic realistic war game since many things in the game you would think would be obvious such as being able to kill yourself with grenades or running over people in vehicles....these things will never be in the game.

Right now, one of the tricks and exploits is to pretty much use grenades 'everywhere' just constantly lob them, at friends, at boxes, around corners and you'll pretty much usually get some kills out of it. Also, lag is killer for the game and lag exploiters make it even worse.

If they made it into a single-player game and tuned it up a ton then I think it easily could beat Battlefield 2 at its own game, but only after alot of works been done on it, as for a fpsmmo its pretty sad right now, mostly because of cheaters and the unbalances but even if they fix the balance issues the cheaters will pretty much ruin the game anyway.

Right now, the biggest hack and problem is the grenade hack, granted it usually gets people banned pretty quickly but they can always create a new email account and get back into a game in less than 10 minutes, the grenade hack basically, the hacker throws one grenade and every enemy player on the map gets killed by it. Its done by using a professional packet interceptors (which bypasses punkbuster) and the hack script which fools the game server into thinking everyone is within range of the grenades explosion, even though the servers are protected by punkbuster the protection isn't no way near good enough....just goes to show you how much I trust punkbuster....god only knows what other fps online games are like.

This is why I don't play many fps online like Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament and :shudders: Counterstrike god how many horror stories and flames i've read about people cheating on CS.

But the other side of your post, the one about levels, is total crap. I think a retarded monky helped you write that bit. You obviously haven't played long, or u would know the truth.

a lv 1 guy gets into the game with plenty of cash to get almost ALL the weapons(rent)

After a while, lets say 30 days, you level up to maybe lv 10(if u game HARD) and u might have enough to re-rent those weapons.

30 days later, u (if u were leveling just as hard as before) might be lv 15... and it would NOT be enough money to rent all the stuff again.. at this point u have to pick and choose what u want.

The above was just an example. I am lv 8, played maybe 1 month, and at this point, I have to be carefull what I buy, because I can only afford a few weapons, and usualy not for long(a 15 day rental instead of the 30 day)

And another thing.. If someone gets a headshot on you(aside from cheats) thats because they SHOT YOU IN THE HEAD. You can do the same thing. A level 1 can go into the game, and OWN just as easily as anyone else.

And one more thing... Armor? What armor? Did u even play? Or did u just slap all this post together on things u heard from WoW?

Please try to play a game before u review it. But at least your only half an ass....

I played WarRock many many times, and there is always at least one person in every game that was either using exploits, or worse. Before this last patch there was an aimbot that PB didn't detect, now there is an invisibility hack, among other things you can get people (traitors) on your own team destroying same team vehicles so his/her 'friends' on the other team can wrack up huge experience and dinar, so I usually play in infantry mode. The game has had problems since the very first closed beta and its going to constantly going to cause problems until some final fixes are in place.

Don't believe me? Check the WarRock forums, most notably the PB forums, yes people accuse people of hacking all the time, and the sad fact is they ARE most likely cheating but extremely difficult to prove it. The weapon renting feature sucks, it would be far better if you could buy the weapons out-right, very doubtful that would unbalance the game much.

A level one doesn't get *that* much cash, that can be used up pretty quickly if your not careful by buying up all the expensive weapons for each class instead of smart purchases and you don't get that much dinar back unless you play 'hard' like you said. As for the armor, I reviewed that quite a while ago now. There isn't any armor, but sometimes it can sure feel like it, one of the problems is people force lagging so you could shoot them a million times and they'll not die, because they are not essentially 'there', this problem seems to be very prevalant in online FPS these days.

And finally, as for your 'retarded' use of grammer and spelling, u is spelt 'you' as in thank you for the highly pointless kiddy comments, and monky is correctly spelt 'Monkey', obviously a fanboi.

The rental feature is thier way to make money.. they are trying to balance how much time it take sto 'lose' all your money so they can price it accordinly(U will beable to buy cash ingame with real life money, taking away teh rental thing and making it a buy thing would RUIN that whole idea)

Besides this pointless bickering, I do think the game has the potential to be good when some of the finer points are looked at and some of the more dirty exploits and hackers dealt with, same with Gunz, that has worse problems, but once its fixed up, again it could rock.

I know, I played the Dark Messiah demo and I think I might pre-order. So far, i've liked most of the Might and Magic series, except for that online deathmatch one they released sometime ago.

What I mean by attacking you is that you are critisizing the game on points that the game dosen't have, nor will ahve. (levels giving power over lower levels, armor, etc)

I am not disputing the problem we ahve with the hackers, we face them everytime we play(the guy who sits in a chopper at your base and dosen't seem to move, but is racking up kills all over the place, teh guy who sinks into the floor and shoots though the map, the sniper who manges to make kills anywhre eon the map, no matter where he is, etc),

Exactly, the game is great. In fact, most fps online are good to great, its just the people who play them, ruin them. Its a well known fact, people are very competitive and usually they'll stop at nothing to win.

1) The worst ones, they'll use aimbots, wallhacks, radars and pretty much everything in order to win, and they'll do it shamelessly. Well known fact, that every fps since Doom they have existed in every game played online, I don't know any that don't have cheaters.

2) Exploiters, whilst not directly cheating, they'll use in-game bugs at much as possible in order to gain unfair advantages.

3) Tweak-miesters, again, not directly cheating, but certain players will again, tweak the crap out of a game to gain advantages such as turning up gamma to essentially gain nightvision, lowering graphic details etc to gain those extra few frames per second

So tell me, when you guys iron out all the bugs in WarRock, the publisher gives you the green-light, and you ship out the game, what's your next move? I mean, a developer has to diversify, right? Are you going to stick with MMO's, or maybe move onto single player FPS, or even a Battlefield 2-like game?

LOL You know, I'm actually the only person on the board. Everything you see are replies to my first initial post: "Hi, I'm new here." ;) J/K Trust me, you guys aren't figments of my imagination....

Speaking of good diction, Mochan is right up there too. The last time I heard the word "canon" (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=canon) used in a conversation, was well, honestly, not too long ago, but recently he's been using it like the word of the week! ;)

Seriously though, in person I speak most normally. Fear of pronunciation error or (when writing) not having a dictionary at my fingertips for more difficult spellings, inhibits me from sounding like a professor of English. Not that I'm a bad speller, but there's times when a word is spelled right, but looks just wrong, that I just don't bother in RL. Looks kinda messy when you're writing a letter to your boss, and there's this one word scratched out ten times. LOL

My repertoire of wordly vocabulary on the otherhand is retained knowledge. Got it from my Mom, she alway spoke words that were 5+ syllables long... so my fear of misspeaking does not in anyway detract from my understanding. Besides, if I come across a word that is unknown to me (mainly these days on my daily reading of Wikipedia), I'll just look it up on Dictionary.com. Again, there's times where something is spelled wrong, but I just couldn't be bothered... which is the majority of times.

There's never a need to look like a dummy while having access to a computer and the Internet... Still, we've all done it regardless. I love reading flames that I've written while drunk! LOL Those are always a laugh in the morning.

There is an advantage to higher levels on this game rejects they can purchase better guns but other than that theres not. There is no armor for higher levels or no defensive advantages so bear ur flucken dumb too. other than that u all need to shut up and go get laid.
