Soon I will be posting a complete thread dedicated to my unique gaming environment. (After I get rid of the clutter and probably finish off the bag of Bravos) I've decided to spend part of my day off from work making sense out of my setup both for me and you. What is your setup like. Is it big and over the top, or is it a reserved more private affair? Do you have a 30" widescreen Dell that does 2560 * 1600? Do you have a 1900xt crossfire setup that sounds like and throws as much heat as a Chevy big block?
I posted a couple of pics of my setup in the thread "My Years Old 38" Widescreen HDTV is ACTUALLY 1080p and BEYOND!!!!!" but I am not satisfied. Years late and many dollars later I will finally go in depth complete with pics and explanation. I had promised before and not come through but no more. Stay tuned. In the meanwhile why not describe your gaming experience.
OK,
I took a few pics of my setup. I would say I am rather conservative as I have to budget for the family and my hobbies or be killed.
Still use a 19 inch Trinitron monitor but thinking about upgrading to a widescreen lcd soon.
I will post the pics as soon as I get them uploaded tonight.

Use the original size option to see more of it.

Man, here I was thinking the bedroom was all nice and clean looking, then I take a picture and notice splotches all over the walls. I guess this means I gotta paint again soon. :(
Matt 3 (http://users.chartertn.net/greymatt/comp.jpg) This is it, all assembled and ready to go. I recently picked up a nice 21' widescreen monitor for the low, low price of $650. Now I'm really poor.
Yee olde collectione. (http://users.chartertn.net/greymatt/stuff_shelf.jpg) I'd use shelves, but the slanted ceilings make it hard for me to put tall furniture upstairs without sitting it in the middle of the room. Plus I can't drive tacks into the walls for posters...I think the whole house is made of titanium.

I'm a friggin mess!!!! Look at that organization of DBS's games on the top shelf. I like it. What are those speakers? What do they sound like?
Renzatic, what is that 21" monitor like? What is the max res? Anyhow nice gig.
Creative 5.1 system...Inspire . Not super powerful but a nice sounding set up.
Sony Trinitron-1920x1440 x 120 refresh max.

My setup is very simple.
I have a small desk on which I have a 17" LCD, a wireless keyboard and mouse, my volume speaker knob to a 5.1 setup, and my PC on the floor beside it. Speakers are set around the room, with a small swivel chair, and my bed is directly behind it for when I don't feel like swivelling.
I just bought a new car so cash is not in plentiful supply, I won't be making too many changes to my gaming setup for a while.
I don't have a pic of my new setup just yet. I'll maybe post one later. My new room is not very well organized and the way the speakers are setup is horrible.

My IBM 21" monitor is a Trinitron, too.

Crap, I forgot all about this thread. :(
Renzatic, what is that 21" monitor like? What is the max res?
It's pretty damn swanky. Max res is 2048x1536, though it's native res is 1680x1050. Yeah, it's weird...I still can't quite get my head around it.
