DANG !!! Half-Life 2 : Episode 2 will be arriving on the PS3 this
coming christmas. That's not all, hold on to your seats ... the PS3
version will also include Half-Life 2 AND Half-Life 2 : Episode 1
in the same bundle ! DANG AGAIN !!! TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ...
BUT IT IS TRUE BABY !!!

Can't wait to experience the critically acclaimed Half-Life universe on
a brand new PS3 ... furthermore, it's a given that the PS3 version will
be at least on the same level as the PC version. Ha Ha ! No more inferior
console verion ports http://forums.videogamereview.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Here's some screenies (HL2 and EP1)

I was gonna post this last night, too, but I would've also mentioned that it's coming to the 360 as well.

The only way I'll be getting this is if the load times are chopped in half from what they were on the XBOX(and apparently on the pc as well).

Hee, hee, I know. But the game is coming out on both, so I thought it was worth a mention, since there will be some PS3 owners who also own a 360(like me).

But yeah, the XBOX version was kind of laggy seeming. Was it like that on the PC? Grrrr, I'd like to play through all of this game, but owning it on the XBOX did it no justice, so I'm trying to find some reason to justify getting this game(set). Isn't there multi-player on the PC? Will it come over the the console versions?

And those sceenies must be PC, because the XBOX version looked like sh!t compared.

Yes the screens are from the PC version, which should be
a cinch for the PS3 to pull off.

Half-Life 2 recommended requirements PC

Processor: 2.4 GHz Processor
Graphic card: nVidia Geforce 6800
Memory: 512 MB RAM

PS3 specs

Processor: 3.2 GHz Multi-Core Processor
GPU : nVidia RSX GPU (more powerful than two Geforce 6800 cards put together.)
Memory: 256 MB RAM + 256 MB GDDR VRAM

Also worth noting ... a PS3 will outperform a PC with similar
specs, simply because the PS3's architetcture is specialized
for gaming tasks, whereas the PC is a general purpose machine
(overhead for other tasks not related to gaming)

So yes, the PS3 version should be at least as good or better
than it's PC counterpart. Better than the PC version if Valve is
willing to tweak the PS3 version.

I never played the Xbox version but 360 will have no trouble running these titles, nor will PS3! I Was thinking about getting Ep.2 on PC but I might just wait and try it on PS3 for the hell of it!

Thx for the pics VGV!
