Kojima also had some thoughts regarding the PlayStation 3 controller: "The best thing
would be a PS3 with controls like the Wii." He also pointed out that he was disappointed
that the rumble feature was removed. However, when Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura suggested
that perhaps Sony could add the rumble back in later, Kojima said that Sony could include
a button to switch between rumble and motion sensing, if the rumble is indeed causing
interference with the motion sensing.

I like the sound of this. Maybe Sony will reconsider it's non rumble feature policy
regarding the PS3. That is if enough high profile third party developers keep putting
the pressure on Sony to incorporate this essential console gaming feature.

Keep harassing them Konami and Square Enix !

Too much trouble to actually create rumble technology. If they can't incorporate existing technology without getting their pants sued off, they won't include it.

That's actually a cool idea but I must agree with Doomsayer......er...I mean Mochan!

Sony are effin' stubborn!

No matter what, I will jump on a PS3 like a fat kid on a smartie!

I agree, Sony's being too stubborn regarding Immersion's
rumble technology licensing fees. Immersion sued them for
$90.7 million. That comes to about $0.50 per PSX and PS2
sold ! Immersion's not the party being unreasonable here,
rather it's Sony being damn stubborn and unreasonable.

The new TouchSensitive vibration Technology (http://www.immersion.com/gaming/video_pc/next-gen/index.php) could easily be
incorporated alongside the new wireless tilt tech of the PS3.
Immersion's even started a poll for future PS3 owners (http://www.gamersurvey.info/eg/fpsr/survey.php) if they
wish to have rumble tech in their PS3 controllers.

Let's hope Sony will ultimately shed it's stubbornness if more
corporations and high profile figures in the gaming industry
make themselves heard regarding this important matter.
