According to Ign:

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/714/714005p1.html

The content is 1200 points though. That translate into about $15 I don't know seems pretty pricey to me. If any of the VGR regulars get it I'll pick it up too. What do you think?

I checked marketplace and its not out and the 1200 point pricing is not going over well at all. Especially considering that the pc version of GRAW is getting updates for free. Ubisoft has some major damage control on their hands. 1200 points is whack, they can keep the fricking maps. That's nearly $20 canadian for 4 extra co-op maps. BFD.

1200 points?! #@$%! I don't know about that...

EDIT: You know what, NO. I'm not paying that. #@$% Ubisoft.

Its out now, and yeah, its 1200 points. I don't spend enough time online to make this worth my while even though when I do, its playing co-op. The big issue with DLC when it comes to price is that there's no resale value with DLC. I buy GRAW for $60, I can sell it for $30-$40 for sure. I buy DLC for $15, I'm out $15. On top of which, its chewing up my hard drive space. Its a big file, 750mb or so. You do a number of these downloads for other games, that hd space is going to get chewed up in a hurry.

Developers this time around are socking it to us, higher prices for games and stiff prices for DLC. Only four actual new maps for $15. That's stiff. New camo, who gives a fu#$! New weapons, same. Relit maps?! Yeah, that'll take a programmer all of a couple of days to implement.

If you're heavy into co-op play online, it might be worth it. But otherwise, rip a mundo.

How big are the 4 maps and also are any of them city maps in Mexico?

I don't care about 2 new weapons and different lighting for older maps. I might buy it..but you guys better...step up!! A movie or a dvd cost as much and we will play this for much more than 2 hours, in one NIGHT! I know its a lot and it sort of sets a precedent, but hey we are gonna get raped with the nextgen may as well be for something you want.

I'm also interested in potentially purchasing the new content but don't want to if no one else is as I won't be able to play them with the VGR crew. I'm also waiting for a review or two to help guide me with this decision - I want to make sure it's worth the cost.

Anyone else interested in buying the new content? Another question, does the content also provide additional achievements for the new coop missions (I hope so)?

Well u guys probably already knew this, but the new maps are based in Nicaragua. They sound pretty interesting, except for the mines mission, why do they always do mines or a ruin, that is so damn lame! Who fights battles in ruins?

First off I don't think it's worth it. And just on principle I don't want to get it. They could at least gave us one free map to wet our appeitite. But like Mask said the precedent has been set they are going to try an get over (they being publishers). If I see a decent amount of friends on my friends list get the content then I probably will as well. Other wise I doubt it.

One thing for sure is I'm in no rush now.

Edit. If you go on market place look under entertainment. Theres a new Gametrailers preview of the new content. That really isn't that inspiring.

Man if they would have just took the mexico map from the single player and made the whole campaign avaliable for co-op online. That may have been worth it.

It's not that I don't want it, I very much do - I was very much looking forward to this content - but not at this price. I was thinking more along the lines of 400 points. I'd've paid 800 tho'.

You talk about setting precedent... it's a terrible deal and you all know it! Everybody knows it. Including Ubisoft. They've offered far more for far less. It's just that the game has been extremely successful and they're milking it. They're milking you. Don't be #@$%ing suckers.

The new weapons, the new camo patterns, the customizable faces, the re-lighting of old maps... that's all fluff; near worthless crap. The only things in this download that are worth a damn are the new Adversial Modes and, of course, the new Co-Op missions. Two new versus-modes and four new co-op missions...for $15? I don't think so.

Especially when you consider how short those co-op missions are - and that there will probably be more after this. What, are they going to be $15 too?! Last time Jaa and I played the co-op maps we plowed thru all four in about a half-hour.(!)

I was really looking forward to playing thru them (the new ones), but like I said, I'll wait. I'm not desperate for new content. There other games to play, and other game modes within GRAW itself still to explore. We'd still like to play some more versus games against y'all, wouldn't we Jaa?

You guys can get it if you want to - but I wish you wouldn't. We were talking about precedence earlier - well, it's actually you guys who are the ones who will set it. You pay $15 for this ****e now, you're going to continue to pay that much for ****e later. Mark my words.

I blow too much money on videogames and I'll be the first to admit it.

If none of you purchase the new GRAW content, I probably won't either. I enjoy playing with you guys the most so it wouldn't make much sense if I had it and everyone else didn't.

Glock is right - there is still plenty to do in GRAW without the new content although more coop missions would be cool.

Damnit, I really want it, but $15? However, like MaskedGamer is saying, we will probably get our $15 worht out of it. I've got over $200 DVDs sitting on my shelf that I still haven't watched. I've got at least 10 PS2 and Xbox games that I still haven't really played. I have perfect dark zero, Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, and Far Cry for the 360 and I haven't played those games for more than a few hours at the most. I'm sure I'll get a lot more value out of this GRAW content than I ever will out of those games.

So I think I want to get it, but not unless you guys get it to. We've still got a bunch of games modes in Part I that we still haven't played so it canprobably wait.

EDIT: I saw a deal at Outpost.com the other day. 1600 Live points for $14.99 shipped. I realyl should have gotten it, but wasn't really thinking about it at the time. If I see the deal again, I'll let you guys know.

On principle Glocky is 100% correct. But it is kinda like pissin in the wind...i'm sure these price points have been colluded upon by all the publishers. But I figure I'm gonna get my money's worth out of the game and take it out on all the BS games I use to buy on XBOX.

I'm probably gonna download it tonight. If i didn't love the game, i'd easily ignore it. I just hope its HARD as HELL. It better be "Enemies better be poppin outta bowls of rice!!" difficult.

One thing is for sure, Ubisoft use to give u much more for next to nothing. Splinter Cell they gave u all kinds of maps...this is being pretty unfair. If you guys want to play Motogp let's do that, but if you guys are gonna stick with this game, then come on...

The only reason I'm even considering thing is because of all the support ubisoft as shown live. They've given away a ton of free content over the last few years. Especially last year with the Ghost Recon 2 summit strike DLC. I'm still on the fence. I wonder will there be a GRAW expansion like The First Two Ghost Recon games had. If so I'll wait.

Another thing I want to see what PREY is like in multiplayer if that catches my attention I just may move on.

P.S. Helo hunt the mode from GR2:SS is that one of the new modes. I haven't really read much on what the new content is. I do know that there is only 4 genuine new maps though.

Tikkie and myself played the new content last night. We only played two of the maps, I didn't bother or notice any of the new weapons. I've barely scathed all the regular weapons. The maps are huge and very detailed. The first one we did was a shipping yard. It is freakin huge with tons of elevated platforms such as roof tops and cranes. The enemies appear to more aggressive and they throw vehicles and helicopters at you. We managed to finish this mission but it took 24 minutes. Then we did a jungle mine mission, didn't really even scratch the surface. Again the maps is beautiful and extremly detailed, they really took their time here, mine shafts, broken tree trunks, just little odd things here and there. And again, helos. The Helos are interesting because it almost mandates at least on person is a grenadier. The shipyard kinda mandates a grenadier and a sniper. The enemy ai is more agressive too.

Pass on the info about the other two maps after I play them, but so far so fine. When I was downloading the maps I was looking at the price of some of the other stuff, like the 2 CallofDuty2 maps are 400 credits, so u figure 4 GR3 maps would probably be around 800 credits as a fair price. But like Tikkie said, rather pay $15 bucks for something you are gonna use than $60 for a game you won't play much of. Also these maps appear to be much bigger than any of the other cooperative maps. I can't wait to play some more.

I noticed that one of the missions have you doing the Ship Yard at night. I can't imagine how difficult that would be. We barely completed it during daylight.

Seems like they've got a lot more snipers too so you have to be more careful. The vehicles move around more quickly and are a lot more unpredictable. It seems like you can't stay in one spot for too long because once they know where you are they start to come after you. They were shooting rocket launchers at us too.

I'll probably be online about 7ish EST time tonight. Look forward to getting in some more COOP on the new maps.

Now that most of us have played the new maps, what do you all think???

I've really enjoyed the downloadable content thus far and see myself spending many more hours playing it which should more than justify the $15 spent.

That being said however, I need a GRAW free evening tonight (time to play some of those other games I own and never get around to playing). Maybe I'll join in some GRAW multiplayer after a few hours of some single player.

Sure has been a blast playing with the VGR gang as of late!! Let's keep that going on this and any other titles.

Let me know what games modes and/or maps you guys prefer to play. Once we get online there's too much input from other people. Some of the other modes may be better than the campaign at times because there won't be any of us sitting out for extended periods of time. It's up to you guys though.

I kind of liked playing last man standing on the shipping port map. It was really fun not knowing where anybody was and walking around feeling really tense because you could be killed at any moment.
