TiVo released a new Desktop update today - version 2.3 - that features automatic transfers and support for the PSP.
The new TiVo software allows users to convert their recorded television shows from their networked Series2 TiVo DVR to their PC, PSP or video iPod with the company's (newest) TiVoToGo service - which is to supposedly cost (another) $25.

...and they continue to leave us Series2 DirecTivo users out in the cold... they are even gutsy enough to tell us the USB ports on the unit can't be turned up. Lies, lies, lies... Thanks Tivo... love your product nonetheless...
But alas, all is not lost... this is why god invented Tivo Hacking! You can unlock all this magic in your DirecTivo while increasing your capacity... if you have a few bones handy. :)
With a hacked Series2 DirecTivo [hacked NOT to receive free programming but to unlock features Tivo will not [including FREE direct web based programming/management, incoming phone number hacking AND streaming / exporting of shows]], TyTools and Videora us DirecTivo owners can bask in this glory as well... and have been for awhile now. :)
I am not sure if I am permitted to link out to other resources to share HOW to accomodate easily and safely getting programming from DirecTivo to PSP or IPod... so unless I get a thumbs up on this, I will not.

This is great! I just figured out how to put movies on my PSP yesterday. I had to buy a 2 gig memory stick though. Now I will have to buy me a Tivo too.
