I just had to update my 360, again. Is it for the b/c games? And maybe someone can find out what they all are?

New Xbox 360 Dashboard Update

Following last week's Spring System Update, the Xbox team has released a new update for the Xbox 360 dashboard. Your console will be updated the next time you sign in to Xbox Live. There are no new features in this update and there is only one minor fix. Xbox Live's Major Nelson has the details:
There is one, small fix that improves character recognition for those users that are using the localized Chinese language version of the dashboard on their Xbox 360. You'll get prompted for this mandatory update the next time you connect to Xbox Live. (Yes, you need to take the update even if you don't use the Chinese language version of the dash keyboard.)

Fatal Frame, but no Fatal Frame 2, the one that counts. :(
The only one that's of use to me is Silent Hill 4. Been meaning to go through that one again anyways.

I noticed a timer with the music player as well or was that there with the last update?

I'm not sure.
I still have yet to get the Spring Update, though I'm in no rush to get it.

Excited? I saw no mention of any additional B/C titles although that's probably inevitable based on past experience with these dashboard updates.
Anyone notice the new functionality on XBOX.com lately? I saw somethings over the weekend that I never noticed before mainly the ability to add points & redeem codes on the website rather than needing to be online with your 360 to do so. Not a huge deal but another example of where MS is trying to offer all Live functionality on both the net and on the 360 itself.

I thought the 360 already played videos from data discs. I do recall seeing "mixed" data or something, and that was the reason why it wouldn't play. This would have been real useful when I made my own E3 disc in 2005. The only game on that disc that hasn't come out yet is Zelda (though I could also count Starcraft: Ghost as the other one).
I guess I'll get the update either sooner (in the next OXM demo disc) or later (whenever I do use my free 30 days).
