So what can I talk about? How about what games are the most next gen from a graphic and gameplay standpoint on the 360 you have played so far.

Graphics

Fight Night the game is beautiful the best characters ever. Still some collision issues

Next up is oblivion the detail in this massive world is breath taking.

Gameplay

So far there is nothing really revloutionary I think improved version of the same game mechanics. But I don't really have a problem with that.

I was at my friends house the other day playing Fight Night. I must say that this game is totaly good for parties. The graphics and gameplay is awsome! Everyone was waiting their turn to play. I got my butt kicked most of the time, but I gave'm hell.

I know what you mean. I've had the game for about a week now. But earlier today was the first time I played by myself. I brother came from out of town over the weekend and we and some friends played a lot of multiplayer.

I was wondering if you were playing the demo or the whole game. We should throw down soon. I'm not that good, but I'll still box it up. Fiveski also has the game, and maybe someone else. HAV0K.

Agreed, though if that leads to more game discussion, then I'll no longer have a problem with it.

Now on with the main topic...

Graphics:

Oblivion looks great, especially when you first play it and when you first get out of the prison.

NBA Live 06 may be the best looking game I have seen so far.

Gameplay:

I'm going to have to say Call of Duty 2 (demo). The AI keeps me interested in the full version, though I'm still undecided on getting it. The newly released GOTY version is $49.99 this week at EB/Gamestop, and I was staring right at it but was too hesitant to jump on it.

It seemed like there was still also xbox discussion in the xbox forum. . .since I've moved on from xbox awhile back, but am interested in 360 news, I kinda like it.

I feel the same way about the GC forum vs having a dedicated Wii forum.

Are you serious about NBA 2k6 I've been itching to play a new basketball game. I may pick it up if I can find for under $50

That's cool! If I lose I will deny any knowledge of ever playing you. Your gamerscore and some of your achievements are somewhat Intimidiating. They call me Drunken Triggaz for a reason.

Egg. Gamerscore means only one thing, and that's that I have more games than you and play them more often. Just because I got all 1000 points for FNR3 doen't mean I rule, it means I have plenty of patience. Fiveski is the champ, methinks. He's been playing FN for years.

BTW, you should only deny knowledge of playing someone only if they really suck. IMO, it's priveledge to play against better people. You learn more vs racing against noobs who know nothing.

I'm not sure about 2K6. I've only played the PS2 version, but I'm under the impression that they play similar. Both Live and 2k6 should be around $34.99 used (if not less), and $40 new.

I will give this warning about Live 06. It looks and plays like next-gen (forgot to put that in with my gameplay category), but it's lacking features. Create-a-player and season mode, and that's about it. Season mode wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't an 82 game-only type of thing. A full development time for Live 07 should have the same features that the PS2/Xbox versions of Live 06 have.

I would probably recommend renting instead of buying either, though, and wait on the new versions if possible.

I'm with RBH - rent NBA Live 06 for the 360 before buying it. Personally, I thought that game sucked. Waaay too many things removed leaving only shiny, great graphics and decent gameplay.

NBA2K6 is a much better basketball sim even if it's not much improved over the XBOX version. 2K7 should change that however.

I'll definitely get 2k7. I'd also like to get a baseball game. Any coming out for the 360?

Just the one that is already out and that isn't worth getting in my opinion. I bought it, played it, and have already traded it...

Hopefully 2K7 baseball is much improved. This year's was nothing to write home about and didn't even do enough for me to put it in my rotation (and I desperately wanted a good baseball game in there).

Depending on sales, I wouldn't be surprised if EA's college baseball game shows up on 360 next year.

Doesn't MS still have the rights to High Heat Baseball?

Åvoid NBA live like the proverbial plague. It plays like sh#$! The camera angles all suck, too far away even when zoomed in and the camera lags the action badly in side view which is where I play from, making it impossible to properly defend cpu fast breaks, which the cpu does all the time.

The free throw system is completely broken. I think I made 1 out of 20 on average. The player models and arenas are better than 2k6, but the animations aren't. The animation transitions in live are very herky jerky, the game lacks smoothness. The game also degenrates into a lot of one on one play. I barely saw any replays and there is no manual replay if you want to check out a great dunk. No franchise mode, no mini-games of any kind, it lacks all sorts of features from current gen, no user controlled superstar moves, it just flat out sucks.

NBA 2k6 is a better version of the current gen game. Better graphics, smoother animations, more accurate shooting percentages and all the features of the current gen game are intact. It plays a far better game of basketball. Players cut to the basket, look to set themselves up for 3 pointers and the free throw system which EA looked to rip off, actually works unlike LIve's. No contest here, NBA2k6 all the way.

If you want to know Operation sports ratings of the two games, LIve got a 4, 2k6 a 9. And those ratings are correct imo. There's a huge gap between these two games.

Gimme a friggin break; you can tell which is which.

Now we got shuck all over the place. Like I said in the Site Feedback Forum, the flow of conversation is all broken up. 'Hey guys, I've got a couple of things I want to say on this subject: I'll type the first part of it here, but then I'm going to jump over to the other forum to finish my thought'.

I mean, what about all those 360 threads that we already got going in the Xbox Forum? Are they going to move them all?

Live wasn't that bad of a game, especially for a rental. The free throw system takes time to get used to, but after a couple of games, I was hitting between 80% - 90% from the charity stripe. Camera wasn't great, but it didn't make the game unplayable. I thought the superstar moves kind of sucked. From the control scheme used on current-gen Live, it made the post-up game controls feel clunky. That was one feature that I didn't miss.

I'm sure if the Live devs ported the current gen version of Live 06 like VC did with 2k6, the game wouldn't be missing any features. The future Lives should be much improved with more development time, and should be better than the 2k series (finally, instead of always being neck and neck).
