Super Smash Brothers Brawl. . .
It was a no brainer, but I was thinking the title was going to be a no show.
Uses traditional control, GC style. Wi fi online.
Some new confirmed characters:
Pit (Kid Icarus)
Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid)
Zero Suit Samus (the blue "no-suit" Samus from Metroid: Zero Mission)
Metaknight (Kirby)
Wario (Wario)

I thought this one deserved it's own thread, since SSBM was to the cube (in terms of sales and icon) as Halo was to Xbox and GTA to Ps2.

Nintendo brought out the big guns. With the Wii and DS, Nintendo has completely owned E3, and its not even close.
Maybe, just maybe, this hints at a Kid Icuras Wii title. :D

The controls are certainly set up for a completely kick ass icarus remake :D This could well be the case as a good percentage of the playable character in ssbm had a title on the cube. I am just curious what putting snake in this title means? Maybe remake of the ps2 mgs's or a new spin off game in the franchise. Would be nice to see sonic in this one too, so the age old answer to who would kick who's ass mario or sonic could be put to rest.

Nintendo did pull out all the stops this year. Almost makes the drought of Cube games forgivable. Almost. But it does look like Nintendo is making all the right decisions. Seriously, the other guys better be worried. Nintendo could take charge with how they're reaching to every single demographic out there. Only die-hard XBots and Milk Drinkers would be foolish to say that Nintendo is not going to be a competitor this coming generation.
Nintendo exceeded my every expectation this year. I am literally in awe of the quantity and quality of Nintendo products that will be hitting us starting the 15th with New Super Mario. I am and will be in platform heaven for a while.

The trailer was great. Graphics look a little game-cubish, but how much more can you really do to Kirby and Mario anyway? Link was the realistic Twilight Link. Humorous stuff, from Wario's (Finally) atomic flatulance move to snake responding to his codec communication system with "not another boring assignment I hope" and when his superior officer asked Snake if he'd heard of Smash Brother's he's like "what, that Nintendo thing?"
And damn was suitless Samus hot. You can dry-hump Masterchief's iron leg all you want; Samus freaking rules.

i dont know about u guys, but last night i was freaking out about the new title after i saw solid snake. I guess the only reason why this wasnt mentioned in the Nintendo Conference was because they were emphasizing the Wii controller, and this does not take advantage of it.
RedSteel, Metroid, SSMB, Zelda gauranteed on launch day? The company has been preparing themselves for a while.

Super Smash will be a 2007 title, rather than launch. . . I think it's the title they are going to launch their Wii online gameplay with. It might actually be bad if SSBB were a launch title online because then no Nintendo fan would ever buy any other game, ever.
This game online is going to be pure addiction for a lot of people. You know, the ones who four years later are still creating epic threads discussing which character/moves are best.

What happens after the launch though?
People forget that GC did just as well as XBOX in terms of consoles sold for a good 3 years, but it was the lack of software that did the GC in.
