Can I Use Socom's Headset to play NFL 2K4 Online??

How are people talking to me online while playing NFL 2K4?? I can't hear them but it brings up what they say on a screen while we're playing the game. Is there a headset made to talk online with?? At first I thought they must be using a keyboard but there's no way. I tried Socom's headset but it doesn't seem to work.

Saw a commercial for a NBA game last night and both had headsets on talking to each other.....

Made me curious if the headset had to be bought with the game as like wioth SOCOM or if Sony was coming out with a headset compatible with a variety of games.......

The headset thing seems to be the future of online players communicating with each other... doubt if anyone really thinks the keyboard thing is gonna fly very far....

Anyone else know whats going on with the future of headsets and online gaming?

headsets and VOiP (voice over internet protocol) is gonna be huge. All the new games are intergrating this feature. But you will need a network adapter and a headset for them and a broadband connection to boot. But yeah the SOCOM headset works with all the games...but Sony also just released a new USB headset that is also compatible with all games.
