For me it'll be the 360(which I already own), PS3, and Revolution. No PC for me.

It's gonna be an expensive(and saweeet!!!) next generation.

Vote: Rev (smash bros.) and PC (common its PC, default)

Xbox360 once Halo 3 comes out. Unstoppable in Halo 2 with my battle rifle and sniper rifle (dont forget the plasma gernades). But Geometry Wars Rocks!

Unbelievealbly, PS3 doesnt appeal to me, not yet atleast.

I'm actually excited about the Revolution because I don't know what the experience is going to be like. Most of us are pretty jaded gamers; I know for me, I haven't felt like this about an upcoming console in like, man, 10 years or something, or whenever the Ps1 was getting ready to come out.

I've been fence sitting for a long time between 360 and Ps3, but I had written off 360 because of how I felt overall about Xbox. I may have actually made up my mind though for the 360, which I never expected. Both are going to offer so much overlap in third party support, and neither are very exciting, certainly not breaking new ground.

After I started seriously planning on getting a 360 though, the backwards compatibility issue really started bothering me again, and the fact that I still need my Ps2 means I'll still have three consoles, which made me realize, that DAMMIT, am I going to get all three consoles again? Ps3's b/c, if it is truly fully b/c, is major to me, and 360's lack seems sloppy and amateurish.

I'm about 90% sure I'll be getting the 360 and if I get the Ps3 it'll be way down the road; between the Rev and 360 I'd just have so little time for anything I was missing out on a third console. I'm hoping after the smoke clears from E3, we'll all have a better idea from what we can expect these new consoles to offer over the next year or two. Right now, for me a couple titles could swing it. Culdcept on 360 was a swing title, but Culdcept will probably be on Ps3, so if Ninja Gaiden were getting a Ps3 version. . . who knows?

PS3 for me primarily. There's just too many games there for me to pass up in lieu of a 360. The only way this will change is if they announce a really outlandish price. However, we probably won't even get a reveal of the price until two weeks before the platform launches.

The Revolution, for me, just doesn't exist. This platform will once again come down to no 3rd party support and maybe two or three Nintendo games a year and then even they will move on to their real money makers, the handhelds.

As for the 360, maybe when Ninja Gaiden 2 comes out. The promise of what's coming down the pipeline for this system just doesn't interest me as much as the promise of what's coming down the pipline for the PS3.

All this means is that I won't be a part of next gen until 2007, at the least.

I voted 360, PS3, and consoles only. I'll probably get a new PC this year, but it will not be used for gaming. Not at all.

I already have a 360, so that vote was a given.

PS3. I can see myself enjoying simply because there will be enough exclusive games to warrant a purchase. The problem is the price. Regardless of what Sony prices the thing, I don't think I would go higher than $400, especially since the Blu-Ray player will be useless to me for a few years (not a big movie person) and I only see a game console when I think PS3. I'm pretty sure it will launch higher than $400, so I'll play the waiting game for a couple of years.

I just don't think I'm going to get a Rev. Though I'm not big on the wandtroller, my main problem with the Rev is Nintendo as a developer and their lackluster games (IMO). I like the lil N's theory about games first, but their games just haven't been interesting. There's only two franchises I like, but as long as Metroid is in first person, I will not play it (tired of most FP-only games and I had a hard time enjoying MP). Zelda, while b/c with Rev, is coming to GC, and I don't think we'll see a Rev only Zelda for a few years. The downloadable catalogue of Nintendo games just seem to fit better on handhelds than a next-gen system.

I voted PS3 and Revolution. The way I see it this next gen will most likely mimic the current generation of consoles. Just like the PS2 and GC combo, PS3 and Rev will pretty much cover all the genres imaginable.

Although I'm a PC gamer I did not vote on a PC because it doesn't really qualify as a console. Unlike the Rev, PS3, and 360, PC technology changes every 4 to 6 months. PC technology IS the NEXT GEN every 6 months. Its sad to say, but 360 graphics have been available on the PC a year or more before the 360 even launched. I will still be PC gaming regardless of what the consoles come up with, unless of course PS3 all of a sudden support keyboard/mouse control.

I cast my vote for the 360 exclusively because I already have one, and because I just don't know if there are any other consoles in my future. I know that I am definately not picking up a Revolution. I just cannot justify another Nintendo console because I always end up regretting the purchase. As far as the PS3 goes---it falls in the "who knows" category for me right now. I don't really know a whole lot about it right now---it really seems like an awful lot of hype without substance at the moment. I guess it comes down to available time and finances, as well as, the price of the thing that will make the call for me when the time comes.

Great to see you still loiter around this dump once in awhile. I miss your suckling devil-child though. Put your avatar back up!

Glad to read a couple other VGR vets are considering purchasing a 360 in the future. The thought of a larger contingent of VGR users on XBOX Live excites me and could really create some fun times in the future.

You should all know what I'm getting, PC, Rev and PS3. PC... well I already have one and it's pretty much on par with the 360 right now. In a year's time it will probably become stronger. Rev has had me excited with the Revvie controller, and after the preview of that game from Ubisoft it looks like that faith was well-placed. PS3 will still have a lot of franchises that I will not want to be without, so I will pick one up sooner or later. Will probably not get one for another 2 years, though.

The 360 right now has no appeal, this could change in the future but only if they release some franchises I am interested in that cannot be had on the PC.

That is what happens when you spend your serious time on the net at work. All your stuff gets tied to your work computer then when you switch jobs...you lose a cool avatar. I have no clue where I found that thing either. Anyway, I do check in from time to time as I get the chance. It is just that I am not gaming much anymore because my time at work(and actually working) really ramped up since I got the new job. I am actually going to PM you shortly because I have a couple music recommendations for you. Thank God there is still time for that.
