March 2, 2006 - Today, Microsoft announced a new category of their Platinum Hits games, called the Best of Platinum Hits. These titles are considered the best-selling of the best-selling, and as a result will cost even less than the Platinum Hits. Starting in March 2006, consumers will find these double Platinum hits available on store shelves for the low, low price of $9.99.
"Microsoft is very happy to introduce this new program to our customers," says Gunn Robison, Director of Games Retail Marketing for Xbox. "With over 24 million Xbox's and over 200 million games sold worldwide, we believe this new program provides a great value to Xbox owners, our retail partners, and publishers." With the Xbox 360's user base spreading throughout the gaming community, this move should help to keep many content with their Xbox units and able to catch up on software they may have missed out on before.
