Pro Race Driver gets updated... with XBL!

Codemasters has today announced plans to re-release Pro Race Driver with Xbox Live support later this year.

Heck, I don't have the game anymore so if I ever wanted to get it again, then this is great news. However, my calender is already too full of great upcoming games - AND even past games that I still want!

This was a pretty good game though. At times a real b!tch, but overall pretty damned good. It left quite an impression on me - that I can still feel today, over 3.5 months later.

I'm definitely getting PGR2, I know that...
Do I have room in my library for this one as well?

Thats weird as hell...I thought Pro Race Driver already had live support. It's a good thing that they're rereleasing it though, I played the PC demo and it was fun as hell multiplayer.

This is better news than PGR2 and much better news than SegaGT Online. I was just talking with Darwin about this happening, I can't believe it, I am so stoked! This game is just like MOTOGP2 except with cars, it is going to absolutely ROCK online.

Hey, I like MM3. It's fun. I especially like showing off new paint schemes on-line that I've unlocked in sp - that's my kind of game. But I will admit that it's not really the on-line racer that I'm looking for. Check-point racing is okay, but what I really want is an honest-to-goodness-down-home-straight-up race that lets me leave others eating my dust because I got the mad skills!

SegaGTO sounds pretty cool, to me, what with the "swapping" of cars thing. Or do you think that's just a gimmick? But I don't know how many racers can compete on-line. I know they originally said only 6, but I thought I read that that got bumped up to 12(?).

Anyhow, PGR was so much fun that I've got to get #2. Yeah I hit a wall in PGR and could progress no further - but the racing is still a blast. Thing is I don't know how many racers this game is going to support on-line either. Prolly no more than 6 though; that's all they have in sp, after all.

PRD is a very serious racer. Definitely a sim. But if it works like MotoGP does (taking your custom bike from the sp modes and racing it on-line) then I will be very interested in acquiring it. Of course, if I'm under direct orders by my MGP teammates :) to get the game... well then...
