But hark: ...seven new missions... Seven?! SEVEN!!!??? Is that all? After all this time? Just the seven?
Hrmph.
But the new multiplayer mode gives me some hope, along with the general feeling that they've oriented it more towards multiplayer this time.
Ya, they are suppose to be big ones and remember we can find more maps online too. I bet it will not take long for people to pump out more maps for the expansion.
It will be purchased here ....
Yeah, re-reading my original post it comes across as a bit negative. I'll definitely be getting the expansion, and I have more faith in Irrational than practically any other developer out there.

Whats your take on Swat 4 as a single player? Its been 3-4 yrs since I last played Swat[2]; worth picking up, similar gameplay/interface as 2?
Never played Swat 2 but I enjoyed Swat 3 a ton. If you missed out on 3 and 4 you should do yourself some good and pick up 4 right away !

WOW only 7 new missions??Which means 7 new maps thats not a whole lot.But i suppose for 19.99 its not all to bad.By the way i wouldnt be so sure that the modders will be coming out with a whole lot of new maps in the near future as the addons for the regular game seem to have taken quite a while. My advice dont uninstall RS anytime soon lol.
Just seven, that's about average for an expansion. I should be on at 5 PST today.
No plan on uninstalling RS anytime soon. I picked up AS add on for RS cheap so a few more maps to try out someday..
I had a really weird experience with RS yesterday.
After our Saturday night session, I logged off and went to bed (well, actually more like Sunday morning). Got up on Sunday and tried playing only to find that the sound in the game was crackling and popping and things were generally jerky as hell. This is weird because Saturday night it had been smooth as silk and there were no popping sounds whatsoever, and I literally did NOTHING to my PC between times.
Tried the usual suspects: defrag, turn off all background apps, crap clean my PC, uninstall game, reinstall patches one at a time, upgrade graphics driver, testing each time: Nothing. Anyway, it turned out that I needed to update my sound driver, which was fortunate because Creative just released new Audigy drivers LAST WEEK (and, as any owner of a Creative product will tell you, you'll only get new drivers once in a blue moon).
PCs are weird sometimes, eh?
