I decided to do some volt-modding and finally hit the 80,000 mark.

Now I am wondering whether I should overclock the 7800GT as well. Well for now I'll stay at this.

Well since by the looks of it your CPU is bottlenecking your Graphics card i wouldnt bother overclocking the card.Mochan thats a 3200 venice right??I thought i remembered people getting 13-14 k CPU marks.I could be wrong but i think theres still alot of room for imporvement with your CPU.Im pretty sure ive seen 90k+ with your rig.Your CPU marks aint really that much better then mine and it should be by alot.Ive gotten about 9k with a 2800+.something dont seem right it seems like you have a plain 3200+ i swear i remember the venice running cpu scores much faster.Im still jealous as hell tho

Mochan your cpu score should be what you get stock according to this benchmark another dude left.I dont think hes full of it either becasue thats about what i remember.although his overall score isnt near to what yours is but i attribute that to your graphics card

GFX 10182
CPU 11013

Total score 69629

This is with the venice 3200+ @ 2.5Ghz and the 800xl @ stock

Nice Mochan....I have nothing oc and hit around 66,700 10k for the gfx and 9500 or so for the processor. I can oc the gfx card but don't really want to as I just picked it up.

13k-14k for an Athlon 3200 Venice? Wow, I wonder what I need to do to reach that. At stock my CPU score is only at 8k or so. My problem is that the Aquamark website seems to have disappeared, so I am having trouble comparing notes with other people.

A 2.5Ghz 3200+ though is definitely overclocked, lol! Still, at just 2.5Ghz his CPu hit 11000, mine is at 2.58Ghz and I only hit 10900. I did lower hyperthreading and memory clock to hit stability. I think I'll try pushing the CPU even further after I finish downloading CS Source.

My stock score DBS is about 66,000. It's like 8000 for the CPU and 10000 for the GPU. What's your current rig, DBS? I forget.

3.2 ee processor
Radeon x850xt 256 card
1 gig 3200 memory
sb audigy 2 card
but it is a Dell xps gen 2 system so no oc abilities on the cpu

Yeah, I had heard that the Extreme Edition was more or less matched with the Athlon 64 cores when it came to gaming performance. At stock our PCs are pretty much the same, which looks about right. I was only able to get additional performance due to overclocking.

Mochan that stock cpu score is way to low for your cpu.Mines 8k stock and yours is suprerior to mine.Something just aint right.IMO from what i can remember you should be getting overclocked a minimum of 12k cpu.I went to go check the aquamark forums but i think they took it down.I know this may be a dumb question mochan and dont take offense are you sure you intsalled your mobo drivers??that score bothers me man i have to do some more research on this

Mochan check this list look at the 3rd guy down.his graphics card is a notch better then your GT but his cpu is a plain 3200+ and he got 94k.I really belive you can get 90k or dang close to it.It doesnt say his cpu score but ill look for some other similar systems to yours.

Hmm, maybe it's the el-cheapo RAM. BTW Bane, where's the list? :) I think you forgot to link it.

The mobo drivers are installed, so that shouldn't be the issue. There maybe a problem with my OCing methodology. I lowered a bunch of stuff and that might be affecting my overall score. I *think* my stock CPU score was around 8000. Not flat but it was around that I believe. Your 2800+ and my 3200+, the only real difference at stock is 200Mhz of clock speed, right?

No you should be 400 mhz faster then me at stock.I believe the 3200+ venice is 2200 mhz right??Mine stock was 1809 mhz to be exact. The list thought i pasted it and now i lost it.Anyways this guy had a plain 3200+ with a geforce 7800 GTX with a score of like 94,600.The list wont help much as theres only total score.Seriously look around for some systems like yours see how you can get better numbers. It is a new proccesor for you might take some reading to get your best results.I doubt your ram is the cause i got the cheapest of the cheap pc-2700.Your stock cpu scores theres deffenitley a problem there.Your stock score IMO should be around 10k easily. That was one of the things of why everyone was getting a venice cpu as it was much faster then the plain 3200+.And even the plain ones would be getting 9k or so stock.OK nevermind they are 2 ghz but heres an article and by the sounds of it these processors can possibly go to 3 ghz, although im sure alot of extra cooling is needed http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=127&type=expert

I just read that AMD 64 processors are dropping prices by 35% or so. Nice ...why would anyone go Intel nowadays with the high end AMD now being 800-900 bucks..??
