Pirates of Caribbean cheat prob

Hi there

I found this cheat to change to a different ship on the Pirates of the Caribbean game (PC):

Cheat: Get New Ships
Before editing a game file always make a backup copy of that file. Go to the directory of the following file: "character_init" (Mostly it is in the following path: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Pirates of the Caribbean\PROGRAM\Characters\English). It must be the one in "English" not in "Characters". Open the file, and go to the following line: "ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_LUGGER_ENGLAND;". Replace "LUGGER_ENGLAND"ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_LUGGER_ENGLAND with the following to get new ships.
ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_BLACK_PEARL (the hull cannot be damaged)
ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FRIGATE_SAT
ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FEARLESS
ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FORT
ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_MANOWAR_ENGLAND
ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_BATTLESHIP_ENGLAND

I tried different ships and found that I have to start a new game to use this cheat. When I get on the ship, it is the one I wanted but it sinks straight away... any ideas???

Dear friend i hope you have played enough this game in order to help me.
I 've stucked.I'm in Oxbay now and i'm trying to find Danielle.In the Quest Book says:After getting in the library of Isla Muelle i discover that some pages of a book missed.It says that in Oxbay in the mines was found enough clay plates and (other that i don't remember)so i must go there..
But although i have been all over the island i didn't manage to find nothing and the problem is that the game can't be continued.
I hope you have been in this chapter of the game.
