I was checking IGN the other day, the PC titles look promising this year so far. Why does anybody need a 360? Condemned comes out in march, Prey should be upon us soon and Oblivion looks to be out in April. But what happened to Stalker? This game looks insanely cool. I hope it didn't fall to the wayside.
Another title I keep hearing from time to time is Bioshock. This is supposed to be the follow up to System Shock 2. I think Eidos is the publisher. I hope to see these titles this year or early 2007.

STALKER was finished sometime last month, it's now in the hands of the publisher. They've gotta finish the cinematics and beta test the game...then it goes gold.

Man I feel like I've been waiting for Stalker forever. Same with Oblivion actually.
Now I'm still waiting on Gothic 3, Prey and Bioshock. I didn't know that Condemned was coming to the PC already.

Been really busy with work lately, such that I am dead tired when I get home. The other peeps on this board have been practically gaming nonstop every day. Check with them, I may have to pass for the meantime.
Yeah Jupiter, I play SWAT, Moya, Bane, DBS. If you have Raven Shield, we've been playing the Iron Wrath expansion.
Bane, what days are you hosting this week?

Getting back to the stuff: Renz, how long does a Beta process usually take? A month? Two months? Or does it depend on how many bugs they find? And I think if they find too many bugs they return the release candidate to the developer for further work, right? I wanna mark on my calendar when I can expect to get Stalker.

Sure thing, but I got rid of RS....I'll play swat tho.
Oh and no probs Mochan, I know when I'm not wanted....... :p

Im sure many are anticipating Bioshock [from Irrational] hoping it will be worthy of SS2 fame.
My understanding is that Bioshock isn't really a successor/sequel to the 'Shock, but will have the scare factor via genetic mutated monsters, creepy dark corridors & character upgrades [similar to DeusEx] along with weapon tweaking. Hopefully it will have a size-able inventory with ability to manipulate all goods within [I hated the over simplifying of inventory in DE: Invisible War]. Time will tell....

Hey ET, long time no see. I hope Bioshock shapes up good. Jupes, I'll play some SWAT with you once I get more room to breath. In the meantime you should be able to enjoy some games with Bane and co. Friday is the last day Bane is hosting, I'm gonna try to join in on that day as well.

I hear ya, I still really enjoyed DE:IW tho, but it just doesn't compare to the original!
Bioshock, yeah I don't really know a whole lot about it still. I am very excited about what it might come to be. As far as SS2 is concerned, I am still playing it....good things never die!

Thats because knowone can.I still dont believe any PC out there can play a game like DOOM 3 at 1600x1200 AA 8X and AF 16X On ultra setting at 60 FPS or higher.I think alot of these people are pulling our legs when they say that.

Well I can at least play it at Ultra 4x 16x 1280x1024 at 60fps. That's pretty much the limit of the settings I can achieve.

Actually I was just kidding, I run all my games at 800x600 and keep the AA and AF ususlly at either 2x or 4x unless its an older game. I guess I prefer higer frames instead of higher res!
